Call Of Duty 2 Help

I need some help. I'm trying to complete COD2 on Veteran (to get the achievements) but I'm stuck. The mission immediately after the tank missions see me in a room with a mounted machine gun trying to kill the germans advancing on the house but no matter how many I kill they keep re-spawning and there's no checkpoint ever pop up or mission update to tell me what to do next. As per my skill level I eventaully die and start right from the beginning again. Am I missing something? Am I supposed to do something other than shoot the germans shooting back up at me? HELP

Not sure what level that is to be honest without seeing it, COD2 like MW & MW2 gives you loads of checkpoints, as long as you're pushing forward you'll get them pretty easy, smoke grenades can help you out big time too so maybe try those out and see how you get on. I managed to do COD2 on Vet last summer and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

There doesn't appear to be a way to move forward, I'm stuck in a single room. There must be something obvious I'm missing, I'll see if I can find a walkthrough that'll give me an idea as to what to do.

I'm stuck at the point where you have to clear the houses in Caen? Done first 4,now onto No.5 and I just get killed straight away.
Tried different tactics but as soon as I enter a room a kraut spawns behind me and that's it....dead.
So frustrating...tried it at least 50 times.Used smoked,nades everything.Will get there in the end.Have you done the silo part yet where you have to snipe the mortar teams? Very tough!

That Silo part took me bloody ages, Hill 400 was a bugger too though I was expecting it to be a bit harder after my first playthrough on that level.

Nope, I'm literally at the point above, just can't get past it 'cos I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Stupid COD games, too bloody hard to get the achievements!!!

i cant remember the part you're talking about, but i do remember having trouble with the infinite spawning. some of the parts i had to make a mad dash to stop the spawning. im sure you've already thought of that though. sorry i couldnt be of more help.

O had thought of that, but there's nowhere to dash to, it's a sealed room. I'm assuming you have to kill a certain numbers of enemies, or a specific enemy before letting you progress. I really must look this up on a walkthrough!!!

Check out some youtube vids too mate, theres bound to be a bunch of walkthroughs on there

i just checked out the youtube vids and it looks like it has walkthroughs for the entire game.

Fantastic site with most walkthroughs etc.done on the highest difficulty.
I use them from time to time if I ever get stuck.
I also think that with most games it's just a matter of luck involved.I on the other hand,have none!
