HBO files a trademark request for True Blood, the critically-acclaimed vampire show

True Blood, the popular series that centers around Sookie Stackhouse and her adventures with vampires, shapeshifters and the supernatural, looks to be headed for a video game adaptation.

A recent trademark filing with the US Patent & Trademark Office shows HBO is interested in giving the show a full video game treatment, though there are no additional details at this time.

True Blood joins Dexter as a series you wouldn't expect to see as a game, but it's a testament to how the video game industry has grown in acceptance over the past year. Dexter, based on the critically-acclaimed Showtime show, recently hit the iPhone to good reviews.

While we wait for details on the True Blood game, we can't help but wonder what the game would be all about. Would it center around Bill and his old fashioned vamp ways ("Sookehhh!") or are we wanting to get into Lafayette's (high-heeled) shoes for a little ass-kicking action?

I started watching True Blood a few weeks ago.  I have to admit it's crazy awesome.  Definitely not what I was expecting, considering the horrible rep Twilight has given vampires.

True Blood is the least gay vampire fiction today.  And that's even considering the rampant homosexual overtones in the show.

If you used to think vampires were interesting, and then decided to hate them after 12-year-old girls (and their moms) adopted them, you owe it to yourself to watch True Blood.

Watch the entire series free at TVShack (WARNING: strong antivirus/adblocker recommended).

I've watched the whole first series and it's brilliant, great twist near the end. As with most TV shows ive yet to watch season 2.... just like LOST, Heroes, Big Bang, and more :P

True Blood is quality, still need to watch season 2 myself yet.

Stephen Moyer who brilliantly plays Bill and is now engaged to Anna Paquin (lucky sod) is cool because he said this about Robert Pattinson:

"He's a p*ssy! He's the Slim-Fast, Diet Coke of vampires."

Can't argue with that  ;D

I love the show, you got vampires, Wolves and t*ts!  ;D

There is a sex scene in episode 3 of season 3 that you do not want to miss. It really is something else :o
