A demo for Capcom's jet-pack driven shooter Dark Void has landed on the Xbox Live Marketplace and is now available for download.

In the game you combine ground-based combat with aerial dog-fights via your (trusty?) jet-pack.

The trial version weighs in at 838 MB so make some room, here's the full description:

Step into 'the Void'.... A sinister parallel world of hostile aliens, powerful weapons and deep mystery.... Dark Void's unique combination of jet-pack powered dog-fighting and ground-based combat brings a thrilling new dynamic to video-gaming. Experience the seamless transition between flight and fight in this epic adventure from Capcom®.

Played it on Wednesday, was OK, but it was a lot like Fracture, lots of good ideas wrapped around an average game.... the demo wasn't very long though.

I also played the Dante's Inferno demo which was awesome, much better than Bayonetta !!shock!! there's no accounting for taste >_<

Lukehi

Read somewhere its like a poor mans GOW with vertical movements...sounds awesome... :-\

Microsoft has finally added the achievements for the "Survivor Missions" DLC for Dark Void to Xbox.com. The DLC was released on February 10th, 2010, but for the past 11 months, gamers have not been able to add the achievements to their gamerscore. Microsoft has finally rectified the problem.

If you have the achieves already you have to recover your gamertag and get them again.

DLC costs 400msp

That's pretty sad.  I'm glad I never bothered to play Dark Void.

You didn't miss much, vertical cover was the only decent thing about it, well that and a very easy 1000 gamerscore.   :)
