Great little game here. I bought it and played it through today, got endings F (because I couldn't figure out how to get into the hardware store to get that idiot's precious broadsword) and then A. It is short (maybe 4 hours?), but I'd say worth the $5.

The funny thing is that all of the flaws of the original Dead Rising are still in there. Forget to save and you are in a world of hurt. And although there is only one boss (psychopath) battle, it catches you totally by surprise with no warning whatsoever. If you weren't planning for it you could be totally screwed, which was my biggest complaint of the first game.

Still, drill + bucket = drillbucket? Seeing that put the biggest, dumbest grin on my face. That is worth the price of admission right there.

Dead Rising: Case Zero proves popular

Dead Rising: Case Zero, the downloadable prologue for the forthcoming second instalment in the series, has proved to be a big hit.

That's according to Gamerbytes, which reports the DLC was downloaded nearly 330,000 times in less than seven days. It costs 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40).

"Money-wise, assuming Microsoft takes a 30 per cent cut on the game, Capcom could well have made $1,149,015 off of it for this week alone," the site calculates.

If all demos were that long and only $5 I'd be all for it.
