It's hard to find reason to not like Portal.

And getting harder ...

Just when you think Valve couldn't get more awesome, they go and give away the music from Portal 2 for free. Today, the company put 22 songs from the game on its website and would like you to download it, listen to it, and share it with your friends.

This is the first of three releases. Eventually, all of the Portal 2 music will appear for free, and, to make the deal even sweeter, you can download the tracks in ringtone form -- just the thing for your new Android of iPhone.

I've been listening for the past hour, and I have to say: I didn't really notice it in the game, but this music is incredible. Techno without being heartless, funny without being jokey... plus, it reminds me of playing Portal 2!

Download the music from Portal 2 right now, for free!

I noticed a trophy that says hug three friends in your friend list in co-op mode.  What is this?

I must say, this game is way cool.

I started single player last night and my youngest son had played it a little already.  He kept telling me what to do, I says, let me see if I can figure it out myself.  I'd get somewhere and have to have him help me, such as shooting a portal under a box to drop it through to my area, who'da thunk it!

I like the comentary/rhetoric as well.

If you need a co-op buddy to hug, check out Portal 2 Co-op.

Portal 2 is simply wonderful.  The physic dynamics forces you to REALLY think outside the box, but once it clicks you'll start trying to use portals in real life.

/disappointing

Yes, I notice after playing, when I see a white surface I want to put a portal on it.

The free batch of Portal 2 DLC announced earlier this year arrives next month, Valve has confirmed.

Speaking to Kotaku, studio boss Gabe Newell wouldn't offer an exact date but insisted it will be up for download in "mid September".

As detailed back in April, the pack includes new test chambers, leaderboards, a challenge mode "and more".

The first set of free Portal 2 DLC, titled Peer Review, launches on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 4th October, developer Valve has announced.

The pack continues the story of Aperture bots P-Body and Atlas as they make their way through a new co-op test track, once again trying to outwit GLaDOS.

On top of that, there's a new single player and co-op Challenge Mode, and leaderboards are now live too.

While you're waiting, the third and final installment of the Portal 2 soundtrack is now up for download free of charge, including Jonathan Coulton's ace end credits tune, Want You Gone.
