Sony Computer Entertainment has announced PlayStation Move as the official name for its PS3 motion controller.

Unveiled during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, the peripheral will be available in the autumn.

Move will be priced at $100 (£66) in the US and come in a variety of bundles, including a package deal comprising the PlayStation Eye camera and a game. It will be compatible with a number of games, from shooters to family titles.

Upcoming games to feature the technology include Sports Champions, Move Party and Motion Fighters. Existing games such as LittleBigPlanet and Eye Pet will also incorporate the device.

A sub controller similar to the Nintendo Wii's nunchuk will allow for additional control options in games such as shooters. Sony revealed that SOCOM 4 will utilise the controller's motion capabilities for camera control, while the sub controller is responsible for character movement.

Additionally, Sony has promised latency equal to that of its DualShock 3 controller and third party support from almost every major publisher.

Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

I was about to post this but then the United highlights from last night came on the tv so I watched those (again) instead  :)

I very rarely use my PS3 and as everyone knows, i'm not a fan of motion control in gaming so not much point in getting this, same goes for the probably worse Natal, though like Neato mentioned elsewhere, the idea of controlling the dash, Minority Report style, is pretty cool  :)

Didn't I read somewhere that the color is set by the game? any controller can display any color.

Neato's got pink. I'll take blue or yellow.  :)

I'm sure I'll buy it, regardless of if its useful or not  ;D

The 'Waggle War' Begins

The return of everyone's favorite fake Sony Exec. offers the following ...

A)  A look into the future
B)  Oh-Snap! insults to Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's "Natal"
C)  LOLs
D)  All of the above

Enjoy.    ;D

LOL that's hilarious!  I'd love to see them actually release that commercial.  'Boxer's don't box like this'
