The PlayStation Move Won't Wear A Condom

For most of its life, the Nintendo Wii Remote has been sheathed in rubber, its native form factor obscured over fears of death and destruction. Sony's Move controller, on the other hand, will breathe the free air.

Raising the prospect of smashed TVs with Sony Computer Entertainment's studio boss, Shuhei Yoshida replied "What's good about the sphere is that it's very, very robust. It's much more robust in terms of protection for the controller and people around it because it's soft. So we don't need a sleeve."

Famous last words, Shuhei. The Move is out later this year in the US, and if Americans are known for one thing, it's lawsuits.

I dunno if it vibrates and any ladies want to use it as a toy they probably should put a rubber on it so it doesn't get damaged by vag fluid  8)

PlayStation Move gets slick website
Pictures, dev diaries and launch game media for your perusal

Sony has opened the doors to the official PlayStation Move website, where you can poke around for all the info and images of the motion-sensing controller you could want.

The site promises Sony will "take core gaming to a new level or bring your whole family in on the adventure with a title line-up that will excite every gamer."

We must say we're currently more excited about the potential of the device than the current line-up of launch games, but we're hoping more will come out of E3.

The site also dons a list of games which link through to their own homepages, including: Move Party, Motion Fighter, Sports Champions, The Shoot, TV Superstars and Brunswic Pro Bowling. Those are the dedicated Move games, but it also lists Socom 3, EyePet and Toy Story 3 as games that'll use the DualShock 3 with optional Move support.

With the inevitable crossover between Wii and Move, Sony has said it won't stop conversions but won't tolerate lazy ports.

Check out the PlayStation Move site here.

Milo will never be released, it was just a bad tech demo showing fake tech, just like Sony's famous Killzone 2 vid a few years ago.

Move will be released in September, two month headstart on Kinect.

PlayStation Move priced and dated

Sony has announced that PlayStation Move will go on sale in Europe on 15th September.

As announced at E3, the PS3 motion controller will be sold in a bundle that includes one Move, one PlayStation Eye and a starter disc - and that bundle will cost €59.99.

Move will also be sold separately for €39.99, while the Navigation Controller (originally called the Sub-Controller) will cost €29.99.

The PlayStation Eye itself will cost €29.99.

PlayStation Move will be flanked at launch by 16 titles, with 40 more due to hit in the Christmas period.

First-party Move titles include Sorcery, SingStar Dance, Heroes on the Move (working title), SOCOM 4, Heavy Rain Move Edition, echochrome ii, EyePet, Sports Champions, Tumble and Beat, while third parties are offering up Resident Evil: Gold Edition, Time Crisis: Razing Storm, Toy Story 3 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.

There will also be two other accessories at launch - the shooting attachment and charging station. The former allows you to hold Move horizontally like a gun and will cost €14.99, while the latter is what it sounds like and costs €29.99.

Sony made the announcement at its E3 press conference in Los Angeles yesterday.
