'Uncharted 2' sweeps 2010 GDC awards

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was the big winner at the 2010 Games Developer Choice awards.

The title took home five awards, including 'Game of the Year', 'Visual Art', 'Best Technology', 'Best Writing' and 'Best Audio'.

Other winners include Batman: Arkham Asylum for 'Best Game Design', Scribblenauts for 'Best Handheld' and 'Innovation', and Farmville for 'New Social/Online Game'.

Elsewhere, John Carmack was given a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Valve's Gabe Newell received the Pioneer Award.

I have both 1 & 2 sitting on my shelf unopened.

I played Uncharted 1 when it first came out.  Unfortunately I lost my gamesave (and never got trophies) when I sold my PS3.

I want to play through Uncharted 1 again before playing Uncharted 2 ... but decided to play Mass Effect 2 instead.

Unchartered 2 is the shizzle, never played 1.  For some reason I'm not even inclined to go get it, and usually I go get the originals to sequels that I like.

I just popped it in to show everyone it was a real game.  Haven't actually unlocked any achievement on it yet.

I'll find some time to play it this weekend, and hopefully keep it at the top of my displayed games for a while to make everyone jealous.

Maybe so, the game looks bloody awful, so i'll pass.

it does look aweful and the animation is aweful and the sound, but it somehow is awesome at the same time .... like a bad movie that's so bad, it's good.

I agree its so craply made but so addictive. Whats not to like about killing giant ants

and robots, and spiders, and giant spaceships and smaller spaceships, and red ants, and flying ants and a big thing with 4 legs and a giant orb with FAR TOO MANY LASERS >_<
