This week (March 25th): Midweek Madness - 50% off Left 4 Dead 2.

I'd buy it if I didn't hate L4D so much.

I love me some www.gog.com. It is great for whenever I get wispy and want to play one of those old PC titles that I've long since lost the disc for. Or for those games that use floppies, as I don't have a floppy drive anymore.

Oh I am fully aware of reviewer peoples' love of crummy Diablo rpgs. Borderlands sucked balls as well, yet reviewers loved the hell out of the mindless, generic gameplay just because you can collect a bunch of stupid weapons.

Yeah, I guess I was being a bit harsh. Borderlands left a $50 hole in my wallet, so I'm a bit burned up over it still.

ps.  I love Borderlands.     But largely due to my natural compulsion to collect things.  I love exploring and looting, which basically makes up 80% of the game.

Commando series is a whole bunch% off this week.

For those of you not in the know, Commandos is a tactical squad/stealth based strategy game. Think Metal Gear, only from an RTS perspective and you have to keep track of 3-6 guys on your team at a time. And about 1000000000000% harder and more frustrating.

I believe that they also made a highly forgettable FPS off of the franchise a few years back. What a silly idea, making an FPS out of a series that has nothing to do with that genre.

Pretty damn skippable IMO, but for $5 it could be good for a laugh.
