Its not and you don't 'play games'. The only time it is done is when the game is complete and you are playing trough it to make sure it still works.

Games testing can be just as boring as any other job.

Agreed!, one my friends who used to be a tech at Yell used to do some down in Pinewood studios here in Iver and he did admit it can be very frustrating trying to just break through language barriers

I was a game tester for a never-to-be-released Atari Jaguar game.

My cousin was an Atari Sales Rep, and he got me the job.

It was the 2nd worst job I ever had.  The first being concrete work (sidwalks, retaining walls, etc.).

I was wondering what everyone does for a living?only reason I ask is I wonder how I can not afford to buy any new game without selling my old ones fist yet on here as soon as a new game is out wham everyone has it lol. So are you all rich or what? Or do you so what most northerners do lol lol    ;D

Well I'm a team leader for a J&J manfacturing plant in South Wales, I make a decent wage but I dont really buy that many games.

Actually not sure where my money goes as I'm not married and dont have any kids either... ???

My theory would be that a few members rent games (via  Lovefilm) and Failed just 'borrows' them from work... :P  Although we do have one Rock Star amoungst us!

That's the key to my success ... 100% bachelor.   8)  I make a comfortable wage as an office manager / purchasing agent for a local chemical company.

Over the past few years I've bought most of my games used from GameStop.  They have 'Buy 2 Get 1 Free' specials every couple of months and I would usually stock up.  But lately I realized I have far too many old games that I never have time to play with all of the great new releases coming out, so I stopped.  Now I focus on playing the games I own, and trading them in towards new purchases, or privately on cheapassgamer.com.

I am a member of lovefilm, and any games i buy are usually pre owned. I probably only buy 1 brand new game every few months or so. My wife works full time as a care assistant and i am a house husband as we swapped roles last year, we also have an eight year old daughter so money is fairly tight. But yeah, a huge percentage of the games i own i bought for under a tenner, any ones i buy new usually have online multiplayer eg red dead redemption, gears 2, left 4 dead 2 etc. The rest i get on rental from the awesome LoveFilm.  :)

i steal everything, i stole Split/Second today.

Lovefilm for me too, don't bother buying games until I see good deals for them, Dead Rising 2, Gears 3 and maybe Black Ops will be the exception to that rule though.  As for work, currently unemployed and looking for a new job but I have a few side ventures that make me some money and that's about all i'm prepared to say on that.   ;D

I'm a broke college student, so new purchases are a big deal for me too. Still, I'm a game addict so if a new game has enough hype behind it I'll probably break down and buy it (and sell my body to science and wealthy Saudi businessmen to pay for it).
