I need to finish Dead Space 2 so i can trade it in first. I've also gotta finish MvC3 and SEGA Racing by Friday too.

.... i also got DeathSmiles in the post yesterday, couldn't resist some 'Bullet Hell'

oh and theres already DLC on the way, called Gun Sonata.

It will have 5 new maps (3 Anarchy and 2 Echoes). and 2 new leash effects for more Skillshots (Flamingo and Pulp).

800msp, due Spring

Quote

The "Gun Sonata" pack will add three new maps for the Anarchy multiplayer mode: the wretched Sewers of Stygia, the dilapidated ruins of Hotel Elysium and the open spaces of Villa. The DLC also includes two new Echo mode maps called Crash Site, where "Final Echo soldiers must deal with the ramifications of their crashed ship," and Guns of Stygia, in which "a captive commando escapes from an enemy prison." Whereas the in-game Echoes are all lifted from the single player campaign, these two are brand new additions. And finally, the pack will also add two new enhancements for the Leash, the Flamingo and the Pulp, adding new skillshots to the game.

Gears 3 beta via Bulletstorm requires disc

Gaining a headstart entry to the Gears of War 3 beta via the Epic Edition of Bulletstorm requires more than the supplied code - you'll need your Bulletstorm game disc, too.

"You need the disc," tweeted Gears of War executive director Rod Fergusson. "The Epic Edition code only adds a button on the Bulletstorm main menu."

Those of you with the disc and code get to play the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta early. It also sounds as though there will be some exclusive content for the early-birds as well.

Fergusson promised more beta information "later this week".

Bulletstorm arrives this week on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Gears of War 3, an Xbox 360 exclusive, arrives this autumn.

Failed

It also has EA's now standard Online Pass Code. Costs 800msp if you buy a 2nd hand one without a code.

GamerMan316

800MSP for co-op, EA are so very generous!

Failed

Buy it new, it's free and everyone in the industry benefits.

I got it new, plus a $20 amazon credit.

It will probably be a year or more before used copies are $20 less.  If I think about it long enough (which I do) I actually made money by buying it new.  Neato logic FTW!

Bulletstorm review average hits 85 on Metacritic
Praise from all around for People Can Fly's shooter

CVG's praise-filled Bulletstorm review has helped propel the new FPS to a very respectable 85 average on Metacritic.

GamesRadar was equally enamoured with Bulletstorm, awarding it a stunning 10/10 score in its review, saying it has "genuinely evolved FPS gameplay" and that it offers "immense freedom and creativity of play".

Strategy Informer stuck a 95 on the game in its review, saying it's an "incredibly welcome breath of fresh air".

Elsewhere, Game Informer awarded the title 9.25, praising it for delivering "a boot-full of variety and originality to the stagnating FPS genre".

VideoGamer's review describes Bulletstorm as "not only a great game, but an important one, too". It says "the eight hour-odd campaign is fantastically well paced" and that "behind the f-bombs and dick-t*ts are some incredibly mature and well thought out mechanics".

GameSpot says Bulletstorm is a "fun, breezy, and puerile romp" that has "some neat weapons and mechanics". It awarded the title 8/10.

"Bulletstorm demonstrates the value of 'why' for action games," says IGN in its 8/10 review. The way the game "fits together results in something cool and memorable", and importantly it has "real character and heart to it".

PC Gamer's review sums up Bulletstorm as "a short sharp shock" that's "Fast. Frantic. Fatuous. Full-on. And yes, that other one: fun". The game received an 80 score in the review.

I'm pro EA still after the year of good where they released Mirror's Edge.

Activision is my new hated hate.

When am I going to hear about what you guys and gals think of the game so far?

Come on, I wouldn't leave you hanging that long.
Your mom!

I haven't actually had a chance to play it yet, because I have been so busy at work.  My nephew spent several hours playing it last night, and really enjoyed it though.  If I manage to play it tonight, I will let you know my thoughts on it.

GamerMan316

Got mine today, gonna have a blast later tonight.
