Dragon Age 2 confirmed by EA
Warhammer Online press release reveals existence of Bioware title

EA has confirmed that Dragon Age 2 is in development at Bioware.

The news comes by way of a press release for Warhammer Online: Age Of Reckoning. EA's own Bioware Mythic has grabbed European publishing rights to the MMO, which is interesting.

However, the bigger news was included at the bottom of the document:

It read: 'Currently announced projects at BioWare include the development of ongoing downloadable content for Mass Effect 2, one of the highest rated video games of all time, Dragon Age 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2009's "RPG of the Year" Dragon Age: Origins, and the story-driven massively multiplayer online game, Star Wars: The Old Republic.'

No details on release date or pricing were included.

I've known about this since I found a instruction manual shaped card with a picture of a blood Dragon in a different pose to usual, with the date of February 1st 2011 printed on it in my boxed copy of Awakenings. It's good to have an actual announcement of it though, and I can't wait to read details =D

I have the first one for PC and still havnt't played it. I saw my son playing it and it looked a bit World of Warcrafty, so it put me off playing

i went a bought it after neato raved about it continuously for like 4 weeks. It was good but couldn't hold my attention disorder lo ... i like squirrels they have fluffy tails.

Played the 1st but couldn't really get into it. Seemed a bit dated, may give this a try though if I like the look nearer launch.

just foun article on IGN with some additional details - biggest change is that you CANNOT choose your race...

WTF is that about, there goes all the replay value but I have faith in Bioware so its not turned me off completely.

Unless they fix the combat I'm staying at home.

Also, word on the street is the same dev - Bioware - BUT different team is working on this one. Could spell badness.

I certainly hope those aren't examples of the finished product. Looks worse than the first game.
