I enjoyed gears while it lasted, my xbox froze twice so i got fed up and went to bed. I feel the death of my xbox is imminent.

It's MW2 I can't stand, love Gears, wish i'd come online earlier though, only got about 90 minutes in last night, good fun as always though. 

I think it is Sarge that can't stand Gears.

My xbox froze twice as well. Except mine is a brand new super elite that i have only had for a couple of months. Is your game on the hard drive? Mine was but i deleted it off after the second time it froze and it seemed fine after that, i have heard that if you have gears 2 on your hard drive it has a tendency to freeze a lot - another of my friends had the same issue until he deleted his off the drive. Gears 2 is the only game that ever freezes on me, so it must be that game that is the issue.

Actually it's froze on me during ranked as well. It's probably the custom gametype being glitcy made worse by having the game on your hard drive.

i think it's that stupid custom gametype, if they swapped players over before each match, we wouldn't have had to jump back to lobby and risk people freezing. :/

yeah it froze on me as well, and its on my hard drive also, thats the only one I really have a prob freezing is gears 2, MW2 will do it every now and again and its on the drive also but not near as much as gears:(

Agreed.  Let's hope the Gears community on the Epic forums are demanding it so the developers know they need to change it.

I think it might be a combination of hardware, software, and connection.  I have Gears 2 installed on my HDD, but never experienced freezing or getting kicked.  But I also have a Jasper (MW2) model console, and a 12Mbps cable connection.  If one thing failed, another thing may have kept me from getting kicked/freezing.  Just a guess.
