Yeah but there's a lot of these machines sold, fair point though. I'm nursing 120gb as it is though , 4gb is unimaginable.

Battleblog #14: mixed opinions from the BF community though. 3 Infantry,3 vehicle, 3 mixed. Also a lot of garbage floating around the webs right in regards to Seine Crossing which was previewed in tdm and rush on ps3. An automatic assumption of the conquest layouts, take your pick. Right now the BF community seems to have become negative due to over burning the hype oil and have become master clairvoyants!
Anyway decide for yourselves. It's funny how a toy can bring out the worst in people, with no regard for the obvious hard work of the programmers/artists/sound dept and everyone else at Dice who worked their balls off to pull of a miracle on 6 year old console hardware.

Battlefield 3 online pass confirmed

If you buy a used copy of Battlefield 3, you'll need to purchase an online pass to access the game's multiplayer features.

The confirmation comes from the Twitter feed DICE designer lan Kertz (via MP1st) who was asked by a follower, "do you need to buy a new battlefield 3 to play xbox live?"

His response? "You can also purchase an online pass for a used copy."

When asked by another follower to justify the system, Kertz replied, "Because servers cost money, and used games don't make developers any money."

The inclusion of an online pass was strongly hinted at by the game's executive producer Patrick Bach earlier this year.

"The whole idea is that we're paying for servers and if you create a new account there is a big process on how that is being handled in the backend," he explained.

"We would rather have you buy a new game than a used game because buying a used game is only a cost to us; we don't get a single dime from a used game, but we still need to create server space and everything for you.

"We want people to at least pay us something to create this because we're paying for it. It was actually a loss for us to have new players. Hopefully people understand why. It's not to punish people. To us it's compensation."

someone told me too, i missed out the opportunity to play it. In another way ima experience it all in glorious bug-free, hi-res, all mapness when i get it on release!!

beta finished on monday guys. It was still up the dahsboard but when you click, it went nowhere. I got my BC2 in the post back from my mate 2 hours after it finished,so no BF withdrawal. Can always play BF2 as well but alas I can play nothing because of this website I'm building for the missus, didn't realise how big a job it was, even had to bail on last nights game night cuz of it!!!

Oh and Failed the Beta was crazy bugged, but then it was a proper beta. But the gameplay is excellent. Some have said that its slower than BC but when I went back to BC2 I thought it was slower and BF3  smoother. The sound is excellent, and the guns, the guns!!!! cannot wait til the 28th.

I have the 'final' BC2 gaming night Monday, then we're all moving onto B3. Gonna be emotional .... for everyone else as they weep from me magicking the front of their face through the back of their head

I'll get it but not for a while, Arkham City & Uncharted 3 are my main next purchases, maybe MW3 too if I can get it for £25 like with Black Ops last year.
