Marvel dates, prices upcoming Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC

Marvel has finally confirmed the price and release date for the first batch of DLC for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. The pack will debut on November 5 for $9.99 on the PSN and 800 ($10) on Xbox 360. Included in the pack will be new simulator missions, boosts and, most important of all, three new characters. Namely, players will be able to get their hot little hands on Carnage, Psylocke and Cable.

In addition to the DLC pack, Juggernaut will also be released as a downloadable character. Originally, he was available only as a pre-order bonus but, starting November 5, anyone will be able to tell Charles to get out of their head for the price of $1.99 on PSN and 160 ($2) on Xbox 360.

If they add achievements, I'll probably pick this up on a 'Deal of the Week'.

If not, I'll probably be trading in MUA2 once I 100% it.

This news is kind of funny, considering where the conversation left off on this thread.  Here's a recap of what's happened since November 2009.

  • The Disney Co. purchased Marvel Entertainment
  • Activision failed to renew their licensce agreement beyond 2009
  • All Marvel Ultimate Alliance (1 & 2) DLC was removed from XBL & PSN
  • Nerds cried out to THEIR GOD, "Why hast thou forsaken me?"

Now that you're caught up, here's the good news: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Coming Back for a Limited Time!

HELL to the YES.

Don't know if this has anything to do with this, but when MUA2 was released I "did a Neato" and downloaded the FREE Juggernaut character on the off chance I'd buy the game at some point. I did subsequently get the game but Juggernaut doesn't seem to be playable. Is this to do with this missing DLC?

Thank god for the new Tomb Raider, helped me de-stress after a tough week! More of the same please

Yes.

Is the Juggernaut DLC still on your Hard Drive?  If not, you may be able to do a 'backdoor' download by clicking THIS.

If that doesn't work, you'll be able to grab the DLC again next month.

I'm pretty sure it's still on the hard drive, but the few times I've played it he's never been available to select!

I clicked the link and a large inter-dimensional vortex opened up in to my living room and sucked me in to a strange world where video games were real and where I've spent the last 14 years of my life fighting my way to the exit (6 of which have been spent trying to defeat the end of level boss guarding it!). I finally escaped when someone else was sucked in to this dimension with me and helped me destroy the fearsome beast by explaining how "cover" works!

Alternatively, I got a link to my Purchase History

One or the other, you decide?

Sounds like they're not going to re-release until the end of the year anyway so I may have traded it in before then!

hmmm, they said they would try and get it back on the marketplace for the 4th of July. it does say that it will be up for 6 months until the end of 2010.

I was never interested in the game anyway, i had my fill of that type of game on the PS2 with Baldur's Gate, Champions of Norrath, X-Men Legends and their respective sequels.
