This one screams Dirty Handshakes! Must say tho, this is the first Saints game I may consider buying.

Feel like I should try out the first two though, just to figure out what the backstory is (no, not like that)!

While I wait for my SR3 to arrive from Amazon, I decided to finally open my SR2 that's been sitting on my shelf for year(s).

Soo fun. Even for an old ugly game I'm having a blast. Can't wait to dig into SR3.

I actually just picked up SR and SR2 for $20 (Double Pack) - Will probably give them a run sometime soon. SR3 is definitely on the board though.

Alright. I put about 3 hours into SR3 yesterday. The game is surprisingly solid. Freeroam feels much more visceral than a typical sandbox game, interactions with people/environment seem more genuine. The shooting missions feel like an actual TPS. Racing missions feel like an actual arcade racer. The game has a little bit of everything, and does it all well.

The game is so rediculous, it's easy to overlook the work they must have put into it. The game is 100% quality under the hood, with a shameless, funny, adrenaline paintjob.

I reeeeeally don't like the "look" of the trailer/gameplay I saw of this, but everyone loves it. Might have to give it a whirl. Is SR2 decent? I might get that on the cheap first and just expect 3 to be better. It seems very GTA - and in spite of having loved GTA once upon a time, I barely touched IV (came with my console).

I've yet to try any of these games, but from what I've always seen, Saints Row is like GTA's crazy, brash, assclown cousin. Sounds like a fun alternative. But I'll make a point of going through the first two before hitting the Third.
