I've seen some good deals online but obviously that's no good for you if you need one by Wednesday, have you checked hotukdeals? They always have instore deals along with the online ones.

If you take it into a local cash converters or somewhere like that, quite often they won't test consoles before they buy them, and they just glance at your id to see if it has your face on it, and don't bother checking the details, so when you're filling out the sales form you can put a fake name and address and take the money and run before they have a chance to figure out it's not working.
I got £40 for a busted fat PS2 this way a while back.
