Searched through the forum for a topic on this subject but couldn't find one.

I've been looking to purchase a battery/charger kit for my wireless controllers. Anyone have any recommendations or advice? Specifically, I've recently checked out the Nyko 360 Charge Base and/or the Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit, but can't decide. Any other suggestions also welcome.

Thanks in advance - :)

I use the official Microsoft battery packs and cable.

One of my battery packs melted after year and half, and one of my cables split after about 2 years. I use my every day though and got a lot of use out of the official ones. So i'd recommend buy Microsoft official label.

If you're gonna buy anything to charge anything up nowadays, get something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Duracell-myGrid-Mobile-Device-Charging/dp/B003UTU10M Just bung whatever you want charged on it and it'll charge it with no need for cables or anything like that.
edit: That particular one seems to just be for phones and stuff, but there are other ones that you can use to charge literally, just about anything that has a rechargeable battery in it. They may be more expensive though.

I just use one of these:

Got four ni-mh batteries with it that last ages on a full charge and also bought four Energizer ni-mh batteries that last twice as long as the Uniross ones, the only problem I have is remembering to charge them.   :)

Thanks for your replies everyone- think I'm going to go with the Microsoft charger Failed mentioned. I always tend to lose the individual batteries and the charging pad, while really cool seems to take up more real-estate and looks like it's a bit more involved to try to find.

Helping to sway the decision was the fact that Gamestop's having a 20% off sale on these and other accessories too. :D Score!

I do the same thing.  I have a rotation of 10 rechargeable batteries that I use for my controllers.  I always have a 1 or 2 pairs precharged and ready to go whenever my current pair dies.  Rinse-&-repeat.

I've tried a few different types.  The Duracell "Pre-Charged" batteries have given me the best results, even better than the official MS battery packs.  Also be sure to use an "intelligent" battery charger, which means it automatically stops charging the  battery once it's fully charged.  If not, your batteries will not last as long.  Plus there's the whole fire possibility.   ;)
