I saw the trailer for that a while ago, it also looks awesome.

The FX remind me of No More Heroes ... which is a complete compliment.   :)

Do you get headaches?

I do.

More often is just makes my eyes 'tired'.  Makes the drive home uncomfortable for me (deathly scary for any passengers).

I agree with you there, I does get tiring and then you can't be bothered to jerk off later!  ;D

No not really, just not a fan of studios sticking the 3D tag on crap movies to try and drum up more box office and because of Avatar's success we'll have to put up with 3D on everything for quite some time.  I'm about as keen on 3D movies as I am motion controls in gaming, waste of time.

Got to admit that blue chick must have given you a hard on!  8)

Oddly wanted to hit that!  :D

"AVATAR" SETS RECORD ON FIRST DAY OF HOME-VIDEO RELEASE

Earth Day turned out to be Pandora Day at retail stores on Thursday as consumers snatched up 4 million copies of Avatar, 1.5 million of them on Blu-ray, a record. The previous Blu-ray record was held by The Dark Knight, with 600,000 copies. While some analysts had wondered whether home video sales of the movie would take off without a 3D element, reviewers on Thursday praised the overall look of the film on the small screen, several using the term "gorgeous" to describe it. In Britain's Guardian newspaper, critic Gordon Mackie wrote that the DVD release "still feels like an event without that third dimension. It's very much a James Cameron movie, for better and worse. ... Its visual splendors are many. But Cameron movies come with his own dialogue so it's only the visuals that stay with you, and you sometimes feel bludgeoned with his none-too-original green, antiwar message writ large."

Ridley Scott Talks Alien Prequel
30 years before, female lead, and more

As part of the publicity rounds for his new film Robin Hood  (out May 12, people), Sir Ridley Scott sat down with MTV this week and spilled the beans on his planned Alien prequel, including a few hints about its content.

We do know that the prequel will take place 30 years before Scott's original film was set, so there will be no Ripley - but there will be a female lead.

As was already rumoured, Scott is planning to focus on the chest-burst "Space Jockey" found at the beginning of the first film aboard the ship that also contained the alien eggs, but he told MTV that the film would involve the series' big corporation - and some bigger themes. "Weyland hasn't joined Yutani yet, so they go and see Weyland. [The film] is about the discussion of terraforming  — taking planets and planetoids and balls of earth and trying to terraform, seed them with the possibilities of future life."

That rather raises the possibility of an Avatar-like environmental message in this film, although that's perhaps a bit speculative at this point.

Scott talked about the design of the aliens as well, raising the tantalising prospect that he could re-team with H.R. Giger to get a fresh twist on the classic look. He's hoping to have the film in cinemas late in 2011 or in 2012, but all in all it's sounding rather promising. Head on over for the full interview, including his views on the Alien Vs. Predator films.

Interesting stuff on there about Scotts views and thoughts. I like that he values the original concept and wants to evolve it back into his style as well.

Will Ferrell's "Anchorman" sequel could be dead

This would be sad news, indeed. Shortly after news broke that an "Anchorman" sequel could start filming in 2011, director Adam McKay posts a tweet that stops the train on its tracks.

"So bummed," McKay wrote on his Twitter account, @GhostPanther, one hour ago. "Paramount basically passed on Anchorman 2. Even after we cut our budget down. We tried."

McKay has said in interviews that stars Steve Carell and Paul Rudd slashed their fees in order to return to the ensemble. This seems like a strange move because "Anchorman" has a built-in, bankable audience who would turn out to see the further exploits of Ron Burgundy, as played by Will Ferrell.

We have calls in to the studio for comment and confirmation. We'll post anything we hear, so stay tuned.

So if it wasn't official before, it is now, Paramount SUCK  >:(

Personally, I agree.

All of my friends thought it was funny.  They quoted it constantly.  I remember watching it with them for the first time, and being the only one in the room not laughing, which is really strange since we all find the same things funny.

I think there is just something very micro-niche about Anchorman's humor that you either love or just don't get.

I especially find Will Farrell funny, despite his movie flops.  Here's a clip I saw on 30 Rock a few days ago that nearly made me pee my pants.
