GM is like the guy that eats so many hot foods that he can no longer taste it.  And then when you go out to eat, he complains that nothing is hot while everyone else is sweating their faces off.

:D

;D

I'm exactly like that  :D

The last movie that freaked me out a bit was probably Miike Takashi's excellent Audition as it's just a completely fucked up movie.
Ringu (The Ring) is my favourite J-Horror title,  just the use of simple music to build up tension and then showing just glimpses of things before the payoff, great direction.  Ju-On followed suit and ramped it up a bit with the freaky noise that the girl makes.
Old Boy is an excellent movie but the scene where he ties everything together is fantastic, anyone that has seen it will know what i'm talking about.  It's something mainstream Hollywood wouldn't really go near, hence my love for Asian cinema, always pushing the boundaries of taste.  :)

I could go on forever.   :)

'X-Men First Class':  Kevin Bacon joins the cast

Yes, it's true. Sources confirm that Kevin Bacon has joined Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class cast. Details of his role are being kept under wraps, but sources tell us he will play a villain, sparring against protagonists Charles Xavier, played by James McAvoy, and Magneto, Michael Fassbender's role. It's not clear who Bacon's character is specifically, or how he'll figure into the X-Men universe, but it will be fun to watch. Deadline Hollywood first reported this last week.

Also joining the team is up-and-comer Jennifer Lawrence who received raves earlier this year for her leading role in the Sundance smash Winter's Bone. The 19-year old actress will play Mystique, the role originated by Rebecca Romijn in the X-Men trilogy. The Hollywood Reporter first reported this news today.

Twentieth Century Fox declined to comment on either casting addition. Filming is set to begin this summer in London.

New Thor Pic Online
Get a better look at Asgard

The LA Times debuted the image this weekend, and we're treated to not only a peek at Odin's (Anthony Hopkins) design taste, but also Rene Russo's Frigga, Tadanobu Asano's Hogun and Josh Dallas' Fandral. Oh, and if you look really closely at the left, you can see that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is wearing his ceremonial horned helmet. Well, either that, or he arrived thinking they were having a stag-themed fancy dress party. It definitely bears some Branagh-like touches. Anyone else reminded of his Hamlet?

Kneeling in the middle, of course, is Thor (Chris Hemsworth), likely in the middle of being told off by his pop for starting a war. The film will see him cast down to Earth for his arrogance and forced to live among humans where he has the remarkable good fortune to meet sexy scientist Jane (Natalie Portman). Admittedly, he also has to stop Loki from unleashing Asgard's darkest forces upon the Earth, but even we wouldn't mind being banished somewhere if Natalie Portman was already there.

Simon Pegg set for Mission: Impossible IV?
Actor could return for the action fourquel

Mission: Impossible IV is still alive and well, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Despite reviews savaging Tom Cruise's latest action vehicle Knight & Day (and a feeble box office haul Stateside to reflect that reaction), director Brad Bird has been reading with actors this week.

The megabuck sequel has yet to be officially greenlit by Paramount, but THR has announced that Simon Pegg is in talks to reprise his role of lab technician Benji Dunn for the fourquel.

Which marks him out as one of the only characters in the franchise to appear in more than one movie, aside from Ving Rhames and Tom Cruise.

M:I IV would be Pegg's third film with J.J. Abrams, who is serving as producer after directing the third Mission. This will be Pixar man Bird's entrance into big budget live-action directing.

Geez, that could go wrong on so many levels.  Tread lightly, Marvel.  Don't f*** up the Avengers franchise before it gets a chance.   :-\

Mark Ruffalo is in talks to play The Hulk, quality actor, more range than Norton but Norton was great as Banner/Hulk in the last movie.

Lots of differences of opinion on why Marvel Studios ditched Norton, he wanted too much money, too much control etc. etc.

This is from a Marvel statement.

"We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in the Avengers. Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members. The Avengers demands players who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as evidenced by Robert, Chris H, Chris E, Sam, Scarlett, and all of our talented casts. We are looking to announce a name actor who fulfills these requirements, and is passionate about the iconic role in the coming weeks."
--Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige

So they are saying he's not a team player.

Norton classily responded on his official Facebook page with this:

Failed

Edward Norton, a man of the people. Gentile and dignified, he thanks the fans and Marvel and mentions not the production company.

I'd have just gone f*ck EM ALL, if they won't let me have 75% screen time they can hire another actor! which they promptly did, DOH!

Least Downey Jr is in there! mmm he's yummy  :-*
