Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

I'll watch it, one thing is certain, no matter how awful this film will be, I guarantee it will be a million times better than anything involving Robert bloody Pattinson and his crew of poncy, sparkly, if only Blade was still around to wipe them out for good, poor excuses for vampires.   :)

Oh and here's a Dead Rising movie poster.

Who Will Direct Wolverine 2?
Some candidates are revealed...

Comic-Con is over, and there are now two possible candidates to direct Wolverine 2. 20th Century Fox's top candidates for the job are Tony Scott (Man on Fire) and Matt Reeves (Cloverfield). Several other directors, including The Hurt Locker's Kathryn Bigelow and Wanted's Timur Bekmambetov were in the running before it was narrowed down to Scott and Reeves. Shooting was set to begin in January 2011, but word is that shooting may be delayed. If they delay, that would allow Scott to finish filming Potsdamer Platz, but if they do not push shooting back, Reeves could end up with the job.

Wolverine 2 is set to follow the Frank Miller and Chris Claremont story arc, where Logan visits Japan.

The First Look At The New Godzilla
Are you ready for more Godzilla?

By using Augmented Reality at the San Diego Comic-Con, Legendary Pictures debuted a first look at the new Godzilla. Production for the film has started and Warner Bros. Pictures is targeting for a 2012 release. Comic-Con attendees were able to receive a t-shirt with the below image of Godzilla. When they were able to look into a web cam set up at the Legendary Pictures booth, the person wearing the shirt saw a superimposed animation of Godzilla's "atomic breath" shooting out into the air in front of them. This also included black smoke rising from the flames and the ground-shaking bellow of Godzilla's instantly recognizable roar.

Any direction different than the first movie has to be a good thing.   :-\

The First Look At The New Godzilla

Over the weekend I mentioned, "Why haven't they began working on a new Godzilla vs. King Kong movie."  Hopefully this is the beginning?   :)

Is This Zombie TV Show Tipping Its Hat To Dead Rising?

At Comic-Con, a trailer was shown for the upcoming TV adaptation of the brilliant comic series The Walking Dead. Nearly every scene shown is lifted directly from the comics. Except for one, though it still looks familiar.

You'll see it come at around 4:10 into the clip. It's from early in the comic series, when hero Rick travels to Atlanta looking for his wife and son. In the comic, you see a tank in the background on one page, but Rick never clambers up on top of it running from the undead.

He does in this trailer. That's new for the show. And the imagery looks a lot like the most iconic shot from 2006's Dead Rising, from the game's conclusion as Frank finds himself...on top of a tank surrounded the by undead. It's not only the same scenario, it's the same vehicle, an M1 Abrams.

It's nice to see that for a game that took so many cues from other works of zombie fiction, Dead Rising seems to have had its own influence on the genre.

I can't wait for Walking Dead!  I'm a huge fan of the comic series.

I don't know how AMC is going to handle some of the stories' more ... colorful ... events.  But from what I heard from Comic-Con, AMC promises to deliver what fans wants.

must go buy the comic now.

Don't less the Mrs. read it.  If she disliked Limbo because of the bad things that happen to the boy, she'll absolutely DESPISE Walking Dead.   :-X

Crazy sh** happens in the series.  Children are not excluded.  Just keep that in mind.  That's all I'll say.   :-X
