Ghostbusters 3 Planned For Summer 2013 Shoot

Rumored for more than two decades, Ghostbusters 3 appears to finally be moving forward, albeit without leading man Bill Murray. Deadline reports that the current schedule calls for Ivan Reitman to return as director with a summer 2013 production start being targeted.

Dan Aykroyd previously confirmed reports that the plot will revolve around a new generation of Ghostbusters and hinted at the states of his and Harold Ramis' characters.

"My character, Ray, is now blind in one eye and can't drive the cadillac," he said, "He's got a bad knee and can't carry the packs... Egon is too large to get into the harness. We need young blood and that's the promise. We're gonna hand it to a new generation."

Etan Cohen was recently brought in to rewrite the script, working from a draft by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg.

Assuming Ghostbusters 3 hits its production mark, it's likely that the sequel will be released in 2014, tying into the original film's 30th anniversary.

I'm excited about this but not as much as I would if Murray was in!

I know. I generally don't like it when sequels change or continue production without main characters. Still hoping for divine intervention for Murray to have a change of heart! :-\

More Robocrap pictures!!!  ( Sorry I meant Robocop, of course)

I will not be watching this movie at all. I won't even download it illegally and watch it.  ( Unless that suit is just an early model in the movie before he gets destroyed by the baddies and rebuilt better and newer and shinier and maybe chromier, if thats a word. Oh and he drives a big chrome plated tank!)

It baffles me they went with all black.  Black doesn't say "robot".
