PlayStation Phone is (finally) official
Proper announcement happening this week, Sony confirms



Sony's finally announced the 'PlayStation Phone' (AKA Xperia Play), with more information arriving in six days.

That's according to an advert on the Sony Ericsson Facebook page which sets the proper announcement for February 13 at 18:00 GMT.

The ad hit the net at the same time a TV spot - the same one that was leaked on the internet at the beginning of the month - was aired during the Superbowl last night.

Next to the NGP, the PlayStation Phone was probably the worst kept secret in gaming. Over the past few months we've been seeing silly amounts of hands-on footage.

Pretty unimpressive IMO - at least the new Android Ad managed to better tie in the product somehow, so hey, they're getting better.

I have the Xperia Play and love it, the battery and brightness are a tad poor but well worth living with for those controls.
