Epic Games scrapped Bulletstorm unlocks in Gears of War 3

Epic Games earlier plan to include unlock items of their prior games in Gears of War 3 has been scrapped. Previously it was announced by Cliff Bleszinski that Gears of War 3 will include some special unlock items for Unreal Tournament 3, Shadow Complex and Bulletstorm.

Apologising to fans, Joe Graf, Gears of War 3 lead gameplay designer wrote on twitter, "Turns out that we can't read the Bulletstorm, Shadow Complex, and UT3 achievements for unlocks in Gears3 afterall,".

Marcus, Dom, and the rest of Delta are back for more head-stomping, stop-and-pop action in Gears of War 3, which takes the crew to an island called Vectes after the sinking of Jacinto in Gears of War 2. With this new environment come new weapons, such as the Pendulum Wars-era lancer and the digger launcher. There will be new foes to face in the form of the lambent--infected Locust suffering from extended exposure to imulsion (also known as "that juice"). You encounter these foes both in the new campaign, which supports cooperative play with up to four players, and in the new Beast mode, a slightly different take on Gears 2's popular Horde mode that puts you in the shoes of a locust.

The Beta won't be released until well after the Bulletstorm release.

yeah the beta, But that won't be playable straight away, Epic have not released a date for the public or The beta you receive with Bulletstorm to go live.
It is reported the Beta will go live around April, So the earliest you will probably get to play the beta that comes with Bulletstorm will be the end of march.

'Big Gears of War 3 announcement today' - Epic
Producer Rod Fegusson teases incoming reveal

Gears of War 3 producer Rod Fegusson has said on Twitter that there's some big Gears of War 3 news on the way later today.

"A big Gears 3 announcement hits tomorrow!" he Tweeted last night.

Our man Andy is in the States at the moment at a Microsoft showcase where the news is set to be announced. We're putting our money on a release date for the game, as well as a launch date for the multiplayer beta.

Epic said earlier this week that there'll be multiple ways to gain entry to the Gears 3 beta.

Might the rumoured Gears of War Kinect game also be revealed today?
