okay, from a girls POV, gameplay is really good, smooth, feels more realistic somehow, when you spear a guy,it feels somewhat real, the gnasher shotgun has reverted to oldschool gears,its a little less powerful but more long range, i like the beta, yes it can get tedious being only two maps, which btw my fav has to be checkout, set in a shopping mall, graphically for a beta it looks amazing, looking at Dom he seems to have lost weight, looks a little scruffy, and looks to not give a crap, which is clever, if you had lost a loved one the way he did, i think you would look like this too, Marcus looks like he's ditched the steroids, and finally being able to play a female character is awesome, until the proper game comes out, i would like to reserve judgment. Its a beta, a little boring at times, but remember, the more we play it, the better the full version will be xx

nice, i agree with all of that. It plays like a cross between one and two, plus it has it's own feel also. animations have been improved significantly, it all feels very smooth now, and yes it does get a bit boring after 5 hours, but next week there will be two new maps and a new game type added, can't wait!!

Yeah you would of course get bored with 2 maps and what 1 game type? and next week more content for ya's.I think the biggest thing with gears 2 was the netcode being messed up for so long.Lord knows they have long enough to work this one through.Cool, looks like mostly positives then.

The maps are okay, no lag is awesome, tiny bit better than 2, nowhere near as good as 1!

What about the feel of the game?the map style and lag?

From what I've seen in the vids, the map styles offer some good variety. The Trenches map looks wide open and has a lot of opportunities for Lancer-ing dudes up. Then there is the supermarket map that is really close quarters and has a lot of Gnasher play (and Digger).

The maps are okay, no lag is awesome, tiny bit better than 2, nowhere near as good as 1!

A LOT better than two for me, mainly because there is no lag and no 'host advantage' any more due to dedicated servers. Matches are therefore a hell of a lot fairer than they used to be, which is a HUGE, MASSIVE PLUS for me. So yeah, even with two maps and one game type - team deathmatch (which is WAY better than warzone imo) i am loving every sweet minute. And it is a lot better than one too, craig will never say that anything is better than gears 1, most people are agreed that it's better than 1 and two. OH and the new weapon the 'digger launcher' is bloody awesome.    oh and the ribbons and medals you can now win like 'first kill in a round' and 'most blindfire kills' etc are awesome too, especially as you get extra xp for these. oh and the new executions are frickin sweet also. I LOVE IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
