Gears of War 3

Did you have a guide for the colectables Kini? I found a few whilst I was playing through but I deliberately didn't pick them up as I know it's easier finding them with a guide if you get them all in order.

I picked up a lot of them on my first play through and then used a guide to help with the rest of them.

Where am I Act 3, unbelievable , hardly went online because the campaign just gripped me, brilliant stuff. The cole stuff is excellent, no spoilers!

Tried one King online match, hit ranked and the search begin , within two seconds all players found and lobby loading, super fast, excellent stuff, and the gameplay smooth as .......

I have to say I am well impressed indeed

Tell me about it dude, The only good thing is I can play Gears on my new Gears Console and With little Jasmine around Nikki is too tired so goes to bed quite early so i'm getting plenty of Xbox time well when Jasmine settles for me, lol

Have you tried a setting up a bridge from your laptop/pc  via ethernet cable to your xbox? Can be  a very iffy connection but with the way the Gears 3 netcode is I's say you'd be ok. I used to play  using a dongle, not great but passable all the same. Co-op was a no go, but I could get some decent matches.

I'm loving the campaign so far! Act III totally surprised me though and I couldn't believe it. I should be able to finish the campaign today. I'm knocking everything out at one. Four player co-op, insane, arcade, collectibles etc. I should have most of the achievements once I finish the campaign.

The online is pretty sick too. I play mostly Team Deathmatch and my K/D is good. I wish I could play it all day, but I'm in a gamerscore challenge and I have to unlock achievements for my team.

I have set up my dongle to connect to Internet, but I'm worried about the cost and stuff, I'm not very up to date on cost and such with dongles. I'm using a t-mobile dongle which is a pay as you go rather then a contract. T-mobile has a fair usage thing which when you've reached ya limit you can still surf but I worry that we might have to pay anyway.

I see, well contrary to popular belief xbox play doesn't use up a lot of usage. 4-5 hours of play can be between 55-100mb, streaming the videos from marketplace is obviously costly though. But when I was using a 3 mobile dongle my stats were something like this:

0.35 upload
average ping 55-80 ms, there could be some jumps here though.

Check this site  www.speedtest.net and post up the results, and if you need a guide on how to set xbox live up through the dongle let me know and I'll post one up in the pc section for you.

Thanks for that info :-) feel better bout connecting to xbox though dongle :-) I can finally get xbox live back :-) now I need to get my friends list back!! Lol. Thanks again mate

I use a 3 Dongle in work, it's very good considering i live in a concrete building in work!

Np Dave, yeah dongles can surprise ya , depends on the wall thickness as well. The walls in my house are terrible for the blocking signals, open a window and your fine though. But last winter was not cool, well it was if you see what I mean, now I game in warmth again!

Finished the campaign last night(yes I know I finished something!!!!) pure excellent.

The net-code and servers on Gears 3 are fantastic though. I did experience one bug/glitch/ weird experience?!!?

Entered beast mode and ended up in Horde, match started and got a triple dose of host migration before being kicked myself by the system.
Really odd but other than that!

Next match was a beast clearance, wretch and corpser ftw.

I think an army of serapedes is unstoppable, they can take down barriers and turrets easily, and two hits from it downs any enemy.  Plus it's nice they are a real pain for the AI to kill.

Yeah it gets pretty busy and manic towards the end. Nothing more satisying than jumping Cole or Anya from behind with a wretch!

Pick the grub first and run fast and try and shoot as many as possible. As soon as you unlock Tier 2, hide behind the wall and use the Kantus to heal everyone and kill any COG stupid enough to get close, throw grenades, BE THE BOSS!!

Then Tier 3 is Boomer, act like a Sniper and go forth and r*pe or Seripede is fun to play as, but the Silverback will murder you.

Final Tier, Berserker will ruin a wave for the COG, you should have enough coin for 2. If they both die, go back to Kantus if your short on cash or Boomer. If you really like the Kantus route, then the Armoured K's are mean, but stay away from the Silverback as always!!

I'm currently about 450 in the world on Thrashball, so i'm in the top 100 teams. I love Beast and i'm mean and angry at destroying the COG!!
