I think it means that if you get a 200ft+ Boomshot Headshot you'll also get the ribbon, the ribbon probably wasn't registering for headshots.

Oh, so it doesn't mean I have to get a headshot at the same time as the 200ft kill to get the ribbon then?

Nope, just tried a private game with only Boomshot spawns and the Hail Mary method works just fine.

I like the fact that we can get the Combat Engineer ribbon on each wave now too, that Inifinte Ammo mutator won't take long to unlock now.

Same here.  I gave up on getting it awhile ago since it was taking so long.  I might manage to actually unlock that now.

I've got 38 of the ribbons so far but they're from before the title update, should get the rest over the next few days even if I don't boost it by going crazy on the turrets!

I didn't end up getting that actually, remember we had some sorta weird disconnect towards the end? I think it reset me like 30 or so ribbons back.  Maybe I'll be able to now though.

Gears of War 3 Will Have 2000 Gamerscore

In last night's Gears of War 3 Live Stream with Rod Fergusson discussing Title Update 2 and the upcoming RAAM's Shadow DLC, it was confirmed (jump to about 23:30) that all four of the DLCs that come within the Season Pass will add 250 Gamerscore, for a total of 1000 extra points, making Gears of War 3 the first Xbox 360 game to reach 2000 Gamerscore. This will mark the first change in retail Gamerscore rules since the second change was confirmed back in 2009, which set the new cap to 1750, kicked off with Halo 3.

Previously two other achievement lists have risen over 1750, but neither fell within the retail game rules. Family Game Night is considered a "platform" in which multiple arcade games are housed (ten, to be exact) and Dawn of War II is a Games for Windows Live exclusive which basically mashed two full lists together. Technicalities to be sure, but I felt it best to clarify that before the comments came flying in!

So there you have it. First it was 1000, then 1250, then 1750 and now 2000. I assume GOW3 will be the first to hit this new cap when the final installment of the Season Pass drops next spring, but keep an eye out for other games to follow suit in 2012.

Unarmed and Dangerous â€" Using the Loader, kill 10 Locust.  (15 points)
Ghosts from the Past â€" Play 10 matches of Versus as a member of Zeta (Barrick, Tai, Minh, or Valera) (Standard or Casual).  (15 points)
Foreshadowing â€" As RAAM, execute Minh 10 times in Versus MP (Standard or Casual). (25 points)
Zeta Team, Go! â€" Complete waves 1 â€" 10 of Horde with 5 players as Zeta (Barrick, Tai, Minh, Valera, and Jace).  (75 points)


Gears of War 3's RAAM's Shadow DLC will be coming to the Xbox Live Marketplace on December 13th for 1200 Microsoft Points, or it's free as part of the Season Pass, which is still available for 2400 Microsoft Points.

I'm up to 89 Hail Marys now, got 20 in one game of Private King Of The Hill this morning, should be able to get the rest tonight. With the title update I've also got two more Mutators, the Comet one (achieved by playing loads of private matches for getting my Hammerburst and Gnasher kills up) and get the First Blood ribbons and something else for getting 1 stars on the Afficiando medal (I forgot what it is the mutator is)

I think the Afficianado medal gives you the Enemy Regeneration mutator.

ima have to buy the Season Pass, i played Azura Horde last night and it was a blast.... but RAAM's Shadow is looking really good. Just need £20 for some points. Will use the money from these Savage Grenadiers i've been selling.
