Finally found a vid of the revamped Clocktower and it looks good, main differences being that there are no barriers to get to boomshot & frag spawns, probably removed because of Horde, also the boom no longer spawns on the back of the truck, it's now behind it.

That looks good, I don't really remember the original as I didn't play much Gears Of War multiplayer, is it quite a lareg map 'cos it looks it?

Clocktower isn't that large, it's a quality map though, sniper at the top, boom at the bottom, everytime I played it on Gears 1, people would rush the sniper spawn, i'd always go for the frags or the boom without much of a problem, we had an Annex match on that map in the old 360DF days and I ended up with over 150 kills and only around 20 deaths, great map.   

Bullet Marsh is a bit bigger but most of the action tends to be on the bridge in the middle, seeing as there are sniper spawns at each end and frags in the middle, watch out for the Kryll at the sides too!

Turducken Launchers will be the next event, which makes me think of the newest episode of Supernatural!

Still waiting on proper details.

Hoping it has something to do with modified Cluckshots! If so, don't think I'd be able to stop cracking up at the soundtrack behind each fired shot!

Gears Weekend: Happy Thanksgibbing and Versus Booster Map Pack!

This weekend we’ll be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday with a King of the Hill “Thanksgibbing” event. The King of the Hill playlist will go live this Thursday November 24th at 12:00 PM ET. Shotguns will be replaced with a modified Boomshot known as the “Cluckshot.” Boomshot pick-ups will also be replaced. The “Thanksgibbing”  playlist may well be the noisiest we’ve ever had.

The Gears of War 3 Versus Booster Map Pack will be available for download this Thursday as well!  After 12:00 PM EST on Thursday November 24th, players will need to have the pack installed in order to play on all public playlists. You will be prompted to download the maps when joining a playlist, or you can download them from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The “Versus Booster Map Pack” will feature five explosive maps available in public matchmaking playlists â€" two favorite maps from “Gears 1,” Bullet Marsh and Clocktower, as well as Azura, Rustlung and Blood Drive from the “Horde Command Pack.”

While the “Versus Booster Map Pack” will unlock five new multiplayer battlegrounds for public matchmaking, those who purchase the “Horde Command Pack” (or access it through the “Gears of War 3” Season Pass) will still have exclusive access to the pack’s Horde fortification upgrades, new playable characters like Bernie Mataki, Big Rig Dizzy and the Onyx Guard, as well as the Team Plasma and Jungle Camo weapon skins.  Remember, the only way to play Horde, Beast, or a privately hosted game on Azura, Rustlung, and Blood Drive will be to purchase the Horde Command Pack.

Looks like everyone but America is getting screwed over again! It's only weapon skins I suppose and no doubt they'll be on the marketplace in a few months like the Liquid Green ones will be but it'd be nice to be included in these promotions!

Very lame. I understand when the US get like, apps and things though from the sound of it we might be getting Netflix in the UK soon so it might shift to xbox. But stuff that is PURELY game content - especially when we're playing online WITH those people, that stinks. Can't remember the last time we had a UK exclusive that was like that.

Very lame. I understand when the US get like, apps and things though from the sound of it we might be getting Netflix in the UK soon so it might shift to xbox. But stuff that is PURELY game content - especially when we're playing online WITH those people, that stinks. Can't remember the last time we had a UK exclusive that was like that.

Netflix is coming to Europe next year, not sure about it coming to the 360, might have to see how well they do over here first, Lovefilm will be on the 360 very soon though which is good as i'm already a subscriber!

My internet doesn't allow for very good quality streaming from Lovefilm, if their web service is anything to go by - but I'll definitely check it out when they hit the 360.
