Gears of War 3 Was 2011's Most Pirated Xbox 360 Game

Gears of War 3 was 2011's most pirated Xbox 360 game, according to TorrentFreak. As detailed in the site's round-up of most pirated media, Epic's meaty shooter threequel amassed a total of 890,000 (totally illegal) downloads.

Despite an early build of the game leaking onto the net this summer, it would seem that these downloads came from later, retail code. Interestingly, according to the stats the Xbox 360 suffers from a little less piracy than the Wii (Super Mario Galaxy 2 was downloaded well over a million times), while PS3 piracy is so low that TorrentFreak don't even deem it necessary to calculate the figures.

Meanwhile, PC games average more than three times the piracy levels of their console counterparts.

The figures for the torrent charts are estimated, with data mined from "several sources, including reports from all public BitTorrent trackers," according to TorrentFreak.

It's probably a good time to point out that downloading and using torrented game code on modded Xbox 360's is something that Microsoft do not like. Do it and you're likely to get a ban and a Bill Gates goon on your doorstep with a baseball bat.

Time to Re-up â€" Achieve level 100 and choose to re-up for another tour of duty. (50 points)
Again! â€" Achieve level 100 a second time and choose to re-up for another tour of duty. (50 points)
I’ve Done it All! â€" Earn at least one of each of the original 132 combat ribbons. (75 points)


About time there was an achievement for the Combat Ribbons, time to work on some of those buggers instead of completely ignoring them!

Those re-up achievements should be easy, i'm at level 76 just from playing Horde, I hardly bother with MP, If I did i'd easily have my wings already!

More DLC! I have a bucket load of essays to sort tomorrow/Monday or I'd heavily get into some gears. I've yet to play MP other than a little co-op hoard and beast local. The RAAM's Shadow was totally wicked, short - kind of as expected- but a lot of fun.

Nice map, I knew it would be. This gives reason to up the vs player count though from 5, c'mon epic you know it's possible. It's always suprised me that an increase in player count hasn't happened. 7 v 7 sounds just about right, imagine 10 v 10!
You know I think the vs mp would be more attractive as well.

I'm gonna have to look at that season pass soon with all this dlc coming out, halo reach classic maps as well, oh dear it never ends!!

Yep, Gears 1 was 4v4 and it had a proper lobby system too, no joining matches halfway through or that have nearly finished, no bloody bots either!
