Elle:  "I love hate love hate love hate like L.A. Noire!"

Almost sounds like Elle likes her games borderline abusive...  :-\

I guess that's what L.A. Noire gets for trying to be gentle.  ;)

Mirrors Edge  3 stars.

Finally played this after having it gather dust for well over a year. Quite a unique game, And a good game, Just got a little frustrating and repetitive towards the end.

ASYLUM NINJA

Dark Sector 2 stars

Very repetitive

007 Bloodstone 3 stars

Splinter cell conviction lite but fun none the less

3/5

Standard lego game, slightly better than most in the series, easy 1000g if you can be bothered to put the time into it (which i couldnt and sent back to lovefilm with 32/40)

2/5

Still on the fence with this one, just got no-drive to play it what so ever, feel like im in the mood to play it, play 10 mins and lose interest.
usually this is my kind of game, slow-paced story-driven, its like heavy rain (which i enjoyed) with actually proper gameplay, maybe im just having a off week and ill try and put some time and enthusiasm into it next week.

PC Game of the year for me, cant see anything beating it either, could be game of the year on any format/console etc.
Cant praise it enough so wont bother, its that good.

Black Ops  3 stars

Finally got round to completing this. It's o.k, Some levels are quite good, Others not so good. Story was just rubbish but that's a CoD game for you.

3 STARS

A weird one, i liked it but it was easy except for a few levels. You can put some grenade launchers on and just rock through the whole game in 5-6 hours. HARD mode is another matter, some levels are 'impossible' but i'm getting there. So it's enjoyable, but it's just blowing stuff up with those launchers.... hmmm.

Golden Axe

3 Stars

Another entry from the Sega Vintage Collection.  Unlike the previous, this was actually pretty enjoyable.  Classic beat-em-up, and nearly lived up to my memory.  Controls feel very dated (as expected), but the game didn't bore me which was a surprise.  I would have given it 4 Stars if it just wasn't so damn short.  30-minutes to complete, and that's being generous.  It blows my mind that I used to buy these games for $50.

MS.PAC-MAN

4 Stars

Not as fun as PAC-MAN CEDX (understandably), but still one of those rare classics that holds up after all these years.  Plus ... how can you not love those legs?   :-*

X-MEN

4 Stars

"I am Magneto. Master of Magnet!"
"X-Men! Welcome... to DIE!"
"X-Chicken!"

Awesome.  Knowing how many tens of dollars I fed into the X-MEN cabinet at my local arcade as a kid, unlimited continues gives me a naughty sense of satisfaction every time I pressed 'A'.   8)

Plus, the online community is booming!  I don't think it took me more than 3 minutes to gather a fully 6-party team.

Streets of Rage 2

5 Stars

I know Streets of Rage was just Sega's attempt to clone Final Fight, but for me Streets of Rage was the epitome of side-scrolling-beat-em-ups.  And Streets of Rage 2 was the best in the series.  The slight tweaks they made to enemy AI, diversity, and level designs made 12-year-old Neato an addict.  And for a couple hour tonight, with my Sega Saturn-style SF4 controller in-hand, I was 12 years old again.  Love it.

I dunno how i feel about this, it's not the most aweful game in the world like most people are saying. I'll play pretty much anything but i know a stinker when i see one (Fuzion Frenzy 2) and whilst not amazing, this isn't a stinker.

Just Average.
2.5 STARS.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe

4 Stars

This game got some pretty mediocre reviews, but I think that's because reviewers didn't fully understand what kind of game it was.  It's Lego Spider-Man (minus the Lego theme).  The gameplay, humor, and visual style is what we now relate to the Lego series of games.  It's ideal in co-op (likely a parent & child), but I still had a lot of fun with it solo.  The only problem with playing it solo is the grind for the last achievement (level up all characters).  If I was playing with my child or younger sibling, it would be the kind of game you play over and over just to have that co-op experience in a game that's simple but rewarding.  Great game for any of you Spidey-fan-parents out there.
