My sister has been using "e-cigarettes" for a while, and loves them.  However, my friend Slamurai tried to smoke them and said it gave him heartburn.

Failed

they're not cigarettes, they're fags .... e-fags

I hate smoking it stinks and makes me feel ill.  However I did  used to smoke.
Its hard to give up. I tried everything gum, patches, hypnosis and it was all pointless. I just woke up one morning (New Years day) and decided I didn't want to smoke anymore.
The only time I will smoke is when I go to Amsterdam and that's purely because I may offend the locals though
Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I've had it right up to here with them.

you'd offend me if you went to Amsterdam and didn't smoke >_<

Very true but I would rather avoid a long slow painful death if I can. I am quite unlucky at best of times. Plus I don't think its a good example to set my children.
I used to hate people like me. I am not joking its so true when people say ex smokers are the worst for nagging.
My nan smoked heavily and loved it  until she was 92 my friends wife smoked about 10 a day and died at 34 from lung cancer.
Also I have quite a lot more  money now I have given up smoking, drinking, crack and prostitutes. ;D  (The last two addictions I made up)

I smoked for about 14 years, but I haven't had a cigarette for 76 days now. It's been tough and I have cravings still (I chew on toothpicks like a friggin' beaver), but I do honestly feel better. I promised myself that even though I quit smoking I wouldn't give smokers a hard time. I always hated when former smokers gave me a hard time, so for those who still do smoke, enjoy one for me!
It's been 7 years and I still haven't played a game I like better than Half-Life 2.

14 years?  Yikes.  How'd you kick it?  Patch?  Tapering off?  Cold turkey?

I quit cold turkey. I've tried the patch and the gum, but neither of those did the trick. Tapering off didn't work either. After doing some research, it seems like smokers who quit cold turkey are less likely to relapse than those who use nicotine substitutes like the patch and gum. It's been tough, but it gets easier every day. If anyone would like some tips on how to quit this way, let me know.

EDIT: Also, smokes where I live are around $10 a pack. I'm saving $40 a week. That's money I can spend on comics!

I used to smoke infrequently then stopped for no particular reason, i enjoy the occasional cigar on a night out but apart from that never bothered me either way.
The Quinny magic carpet ride may have landed but the Red Flag will keep on flying high.
