PES 2012

Two PES 2012 demos announced

Two demos of PES 2012 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are planned for release, Konami has announced.

The first goes live on Wednesday, and is based on a preview build of the game. Six teams are included: Manchester United, AC Milan, FC Porto, Napoli, Santos and Panarol. 10 minute matches and Challenge Training mode, in which you can practice the new control systems, are available.

Because the first PES 2012 demo "will not be truly representative of the final game," Konami will release a second demo "reflecting the final version's feel and gameplay" in mid-September.

This'll have 10-minute matches, too, but with Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, Inter, Rangers, Club America and Sport Club Internacional.

Meanwhile, Konami confirmed release dates for the various versions of the game.

The PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 version launches on 14th October. The PSP and PS2 version launches on 28th October. And the Wii version goes live on 4th November.

Dates for iOS and Nintendo 3DS "will be announced shortly".

I've been playing PES since it was called winning eleven. This is the only game I played between my last console (Sega Genesis) and my new Xbox 360. I used to say if there's a single reason to buy a console, this reason is called PES.

BUT, FIFA seems to be more like a simulator, and people outside Brazil tends to play FIFA instead PES. Kind of a bloody discussion, I like'em both, but I still have some passion on PES. One thing I noticed is that the physics engine in FIFA is almost perfect, with collisions and stuff very close to "reality"...

I want to see this demo, as far as I see the graphics are a lot better, lets see how's the mechanics is working...oh, and we'll play with Santos FC, this is a must, everybody want to play with Neymar and PH Ganso :)

Don't know if I'll buy this, I got the PES 2011 and its just OK...planning to get FIFA 12 to compare.

PES 2012 free DLC detailed

PES 2012 downloadable content will release on 11th October, Konami has announced.

It includes a roster update, kits, players and items. It also updates the skill parameters of players.

160 clubs will be updated, with hundreds of players getting more realistic stats and abilities. It's a given, then, that Fernando Torres will be awesome. A given.

13 new styles of boots will be added. 29 teams, including Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Bayer Leverkusen, will have their kits updates.

The free DLC is for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

PES 2012 launches in the UK next Friday, 14th October, but the game is already out in the US.
