A little more on "Onslaught"   :)

DICE has announced a new, four-player co-op pursuit for Battlefield: Bad Company called Onslaught mode.

This is "coming soon" to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace. The content will be paid for, according to a post by DICE associate producer "Bazajaytee" on the EA forums. He didn't say how much, simply answering "nope" when asked if the content would be free.

Onslaught mode will not be available on PC. "We aren't ruling out Onslaught on PC, but at this time we are researching how to bring it to PC without affecting players who don't have Onslaught or their own server to run it on," said Bazajaytee. "We haven't given up on a PC version of Onslaught as I say, just we have a lot things to work out first."

What's the point of a VIP pass if all the content pay for anyway, except some variations....

The latest patch for Battlefield: Bad Company has been detailed.

The update "is due in the very near future" and will include various fixes for multiplayer problems, the main one being that Garand stats didn't track.

Now they do and they have also been other minor tweaks and changes to the game as well. Here's the full list:

•Kit images added in spawn menu

•Fixed the "required rank" field on the unlock items specified on the W&G page

•Added M14, NS 2000 and G3 in-game unlock pop-up when the requirements for unlocking them are reached

•Added a server side check of the veteran status of the players

•Award bugfix for "Win all 4 game modes" (it had marksman headshot as a dependency)

•Garand did not track anything, Thompson tracked Garand

•Increased the penalty points for TeamKill and TeamDamage

•Increased the reward points for Objective Actions (Flag Cap / Assist, Arm / Disarm / Destroy / Damage / TeamDestroy / TeamDamage)

•Fixed veteran rank number not showing up in ingame scoreboard

•The southpaw setting now works for the anti-air gun and the Stationary AT

•Collectible weapon messages fixed

DFUSIONITE

fantastic to see the developers taking the time and effort to fix online problems so quickly, unlike a certain game involving chainsaws. Not played it in a while might give it a blast on sunday night
