The Sims 3 has celebrated its eleventh week as the number one title in the PC weekly charts.

The usual suspects comprise the top three, with Football Manager 2009 clinging to second, and World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King remaining third.

It has an Intel core duo processor,2Gb of ram etc. and was wondering if it was man enough to handle anything?
Any ideas? Would like to get CoD waw but not sure if it will handle it?

you should try some demos first, that'll give you an idea of what you're laptop can handle.

Most modern games allow you to adjust the graphics and performance of a game to compensate for lack of hardware.  I have a horribly outdated desktop, bought over 5 years ago.

1.8GHz AMD Processor
1GB RAM
128MB Nvidia Video Card

I rarely play PC games, but here are a few I know I've been able to successfully run after tweaking the game settings.

World of Warcraft
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
The Suffering

For COD:WaW, if you're running Vista you may experience more slowdown than XP.  But as long as your Intel Processor is at least 3GHz, you shouldn't have any problems.  Anything less, you'll probably still be able to play it after tweaking the game settings.

Allrighty then,ta.
Will try some demo's first then-Rainbow six sounds good, then I'll let you know the outcome!

Very good indeed, works with Gears on the PC too  :P

Get one of these first, then you can use your existing 360 pad.

Yes I do. You should get one its so much easier. If you have a wired pad you can just use that I think

The wired Xbox 360 controller and Games for Windows (PC) controller are the exact same controller.  The only difference is the packaging (and optional installation disc).

Can I ask, probably a dumb question. If you connect a wireless controller to the PC with the rechargable battery cable, will that work? Or is that cable purely for recharging?
