My guess would be playing as the Soldier would be like playing as Master Chief.  But that's pure speculation.  I haven't started a Soldier game yet.

i havent played as the soldier either, but i would imagine that he is the balanced chatacter

Also the soldier isn't sh*t, the soldier is just the straight up support dude, what he does best is help others.

His only attack tree is his infantry one, if you want something good with him you'll have to mix and match.

This is probably the best set-up you can get going solo, if you're doing co-op focus on support and medic. Also if you don't like shotguns then replace scattershot with assault.

The key with that set up is doing more damage, having more health and more ammo capacity and turning your turret into a powerful force but you can still survive while it cools down.

I'm doing alright with him now, i tried shotguns for a bit but have settled on Assault Rifles. Got bullet damage up first and am now working on getting the shield skills, will probably not get nearer the bottom of the tree till closer to level 50 as all the skills i'd want are near the top.

I added this to my rental list without even seeing it but judging the amount of people on my friends list that play it, looks like a good decision, i'd like to know just how big the game is though, as i tend not to rent games that will take ages to finish.

I've had it for a week and have hammered it, looks a massive game though and the achieves are pretty easy. It's like Fallout but quicker and there isn't as much wandering aimlessly.

Has anyone got the Viral achievement, i only want to pop on get it then disappear. I think it's a bit rude doing this to a random, so has anyone got it and would let me join their game and then dissappear? I only have a few achieves until i 1000G the game.
