MELT MOVIE - Battery Packs are for Life ... or not.

My battery pack has just MELTED, whilst in my pad, while i'm holding it. It's gone mega hot for some reason, like some nuclear bomb and started melting, when it finally stops smoking and melting i'll take a picture for you >_<

Need another pack now!

My 3 year old son uses one of those pads. I really don't want it melting on him.

The shop smells like burning plastic now, if someone asks i'm just gonna say im a plastic junkie and i've been melting it and injecting it between my toes ... that'll fool em!!

Was that an MS battery pack, generic, or empty shell with rechargeables in it?
Was it charging when it melted?
Was in in an MS controller?

It was an Official Microsoft Pack in an Official Pad, it was charging whilst it melted.

However it's nothing i havn't done before leaving it on charge for ages, it turns itself off when it's fully charged usually, all i can think is this time it's just carried on charging without turning itself off.
It was a year and a half old! Least i get to buy a pink one now

I like to use Duracell 'precharged' Rechargeables with my own trusted battery charger.
