After a picture of an official 802.11n Wi-Fi adapter for Xbox 360 appeared on the internet
, AreaGames.de got word from an inside source with direct contact to Microsoft confirming the new hardware to be priced exactly like the currently offered wireless network peripheral. The insider (who is known and trusted by the website but asked to stay anonymous in their article) also mentions a price-drop for the original Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter just after the release of the new black one.

Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

i saw this on the xbox forums yesterday, it as the 'n' iteration of the 802.11 spec. That means it'd run at up to 160Mbps, another meaningless maximum you'd never achieve due (among other things) to the chug-a-lugging hard drive's chokehold. Still, 802.11n could see you future-proofed for the inevitable Xbox 360 500GB solid-state drive.

I also read that to stream HD films you have to be hardwired to your router as opposed to wireless & the new adapter solves that, i've no idea if this is true or not.

Failed

I won't be forking out for another wireless adaptor, took me forever to find a shoplifter to get my last one :P

I got a pink battery pack for my pink pad.

You can't see the wi-fi adaptor though, so it can be polkadotted with rainbows.

TaraJayne

Well I will get one because I know its not matching

Do you have matching Elite handbag and shoes? ... woman *rolly eyes*.

Lukehi

The only word I can say is "Why".  My understanding is the for online gaming we dont need 'n' power routers, its just a waste.  Unless like Crak said its just for watching TV/Films.

TJ, Anal, all the time!

:o you never cease to amaze me Failed ;)

Well fine then lulu. Maybe I like anal.

I still dont see what the problem is wanting things to match. They need a black messenger pad. Is there one?

I've had a quick look on the tinterweb and found nothing, apparently M$ arent gonna make one.  There's plenty of personal modified black pads but nothing for retail... :-[
