If Left 4 Dead 2 comes out at christmas, then that's a full year after Left 4 Dead came out. We buy CoD once a year, so i think i can live with buying L4D2 only a year after L4D1. I still want DLC in the meantime

I agree, i'm surprised people are even boycotting the sequel, just play both, thats what i'll do.
Valve have also said that they're planning more dlc for the first game.

Once L4D2 releases, I'm sure everyone will love it.  But in the meantime, the massess need something to hate.  Michael Jackson is dead, so that leaves ...

Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

Depeche Mode is all over Left 4 Dead 2

What's the first thing you think of, musically, when you think of Left 4 Dead 2? The most obvious answer, of course, is Depeche Mode. At Comic-Con, Valve's Chet Falizsek revealed to Kotaku that the company approached many record labels and music groups seeking their music for the game, with Depeche Mode apparently being one of the most enthusiastic. The band is allowing Valve to use its music, likeness and merchandise, like the T-shirt sported by Rochelle in the image above. Just how much Depeche Mode is featured in the game beyond T-shirts, Faliszek didn't say.

Frankly, if we get anything less than a music video maker that lets you set your zombie-slaying to the tune of "Personal Jesus," we'll be disappointed.

dibs on the girl, girls always die last in the movies.

The black guy will go first, then the kid, then the gambler, then the girl.

L4D2 racism accusation "insanity"

Chet Faliszek has said that Valve was baffled by complaints on the Houston Chronicle website recently about "racist undertones" in Left 4 Dead 2.

In a blog earlier this month, Chronicle writer Willie Jefferson said that L4D2 was "already causing an uproar" - maybe true, but not for the reason Jefferson suggested, at least as far as we've seen.

"Set in New Orleans, players will have to fight their way through hordes of zombies - with several of them who appear to be African-Americans. When I saw the first trailer for the game, all I could think about was Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath," he wrote.

"Setting the game in a city that was scene of dead, bloated bodies floating by so soon afterward was a bad call, IMHO. The city has had enough to deal with - Valve, you should have spared them, even if it's just a video game."

Faliszek, speaking to Destructoid, described the piece as "utter insanity".

"There are mixed races of zombies, there are all different races of zombies that you shoot, and since we placed it in New Orleans, that makes it racist?" he responded.

"I honestly re-read the paragraph about five times ... but when two of the characters in your game are African-American, it's a weird thing to be accused of. We're like, 'how does this work'?"

Indeed, said Faliszek, Valve was treating the city with the "utmost respect", and deied the company was trying to make a statement. "We would not cheapen it," he said. "I love that city."

Left 4 Dead 2 is due out on 17th November for PC and Xbox 360

LMFAO   :D

The presumption that a story is racist because it takes place New Orleans is racist in itself.  My head just exploded.

There are more than just African-Americans in New Orleans, Willie Jefferson.  Perhaps Willie needs to work on his own ignorance?
