Left 4 Dead 2 boycotters flown to Valve; boycotters boycot original boycotters

Valve are genious.  Sabotaging the boycot group from the inside out, art-of-war-style!   ;D

go Valve you sly foxes. Valve aren't exactly the type to just rip people off, look what they did with Orange Box.

Australia boycotts Left 4 Dead 2

Gabe Newell may be going to Australia, but his latest game, Left 4 Dead 2, is not. The Australian government has refused classification to the upcoming zombie shooter's "realistic, frenetic and unrelenting violence." Because the Australian ratings system doesn't offer an 18+ rating for games, Left 4 Dead 2 joins the growing list of games banned by the government.

While Valve is unlikely to look upon this decision favorably, it can turn this ban into a marketing bullet point. The first game received a MA15 rating, meaning Left 4 Dead 2 must have a totally noticeable and sequel-worthy increase in violence. Doesn't that warrant another $60 purchase (for those of you outside Australia)?

Probably due to the addition of melee weapons.  Melee combat is much more brutal and primal than ballistics ... psychologically speaking.

Also, the fact that a lot (if not all) of the game takes place during the day means you actually SEE more gore than at night in the dark.

Left 4 Dead 2 demo running straight for Xbox/PC on October 27

Speaking about upcoming co-op zombie shooter Left 4 Dead 2 at EA's Tokyo press conference today, Valve's Kim Swift announced intentions to release a demo on October 27. Though no platforms were explicitly mentioned, we're betting pre-orders on both Xbox 360 and PC platforms will be getting first dibs, as Valve has already stated.

From what we understand, the demo will feature multiplayer, though we're not sure to what capacity this will extend. Either way, Xbox 360 and PC owners will get a chance to try out at least some of the 10 melee weapons well before the game's November 17 release.

New Left 4 Dead DLC date confirmed

Valve has confirmed that Crash Course, the second slice of downloadable pie for Left 4 Dead, will be out for Xbox 360 and PC next Tuesday, September 29.

The Crash Course Campaign bridges the gap between the end of No Mercy and the beginning of Death Toll in the original game, says Valve, adding new locations, new dialogue from the original cast and an explosive finale.

While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of Crash' is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, it says, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns.

It'll be free on PC and 560 MS Points (£4.76) for Xbox 360 users.

Kyuubi

could be interesting and well worth picking up, however for a small level could be pricey.

I also have taken to the idea of new infected on L4D2 now so this may not be enough to keep me occupied!! lol

Yeh, i enjoyed it, it's shameless fun. A good cross between The Club and Army of Two.

I have it behind the counter for a customer, so i had a quick go Monday before ODST came out. I don't think i'll be able to 1000G it before he comes and picks it up, but i'll definately do it one day.

GamerMan316

Cool, i've heard it's like a cross between those games with a bit of Stranglehold thrown in too.

nah! no stranglehold, it could do with some, just to add a bit of SHAZAM!
