Super Street Fighter IV Getting Three More Fighters

Muay Thai fighter Adon from Street Fighter Alpha and Final Fight character Cody and Guy are the latest characters announced for SSFIV.

So Cody has been wearing the same prison uniform since he broke out 11 years ago?

That due must reeeeeeeeeeeeek.   ;)

Failed

he has a massive washing machine he can climb into, and he puts other fighters in there with him and fights them as he's cleaned ... it's his special training regime and the new SF4 MP mode!!

Super Street Fighter IV new stages revealed
Three new stages and another heavy hint that Ibuki is included...

The Japanese development blog for Super Street Fighter IV has revealed the new stages for the first time.

The stages are Korea that's presumably Juri's stage, an Indian stage that will be Dhalsim's and an African stage. Capcom hasn't officially said anything about tying characters in with stages but if they were, could this highlight the return of 3rd Strike character Elena to the series?

On a similar note, a screenshot showing off the new Revenge bar shows Sakura being hit by a kunai. It's another hint that Ibuki could be returning to the series as well, after Capcom explained away a previous screenshot showing off a kunai.

In any case, these new stages will definitely be included.

Rumor: Super Street Fighter IV getting 10 new characters in total

Every Street Fighter fan site ever perked up its ears late last week when Famitsu held a live streaming demo of Super Street Fighter IV. The administrators and visitors of said sites immediately began to pick the bones of the demo clean of important gameplay details -- the most fascinating of which comes from the above still image of the game's character select screen. The alleyway brawling enthusiasts of EventHubs.com discerned from said image that SSF IV will add 10 new characters to the game's roster -- four of which are still unannounced.

You can watch a brief YouTube clip of the Famitsu stream after the jump -- it definitely contains the menu seen above. We've contacted Capcom to find out if these fans' assumptions are accurate.

With characters like Cody appearing in SF4, Capcom has obviously thrown chronology out the window.  So I guess anything goes for the possible 4 additions.  Here's a few I wouldn't mind seeing again:

Ibuki (who is actually rumored to be added)

Sodom

Blair Dame

D. Dark

R. Mika

Q

And for the Ginger affirmative action ... Allen Snider

I'm not a fan, but it would probably make sense to include Urien and/or Gill, since they all seem to be related to the whole Seth / Abel story.

Urien                    Gill                    Seth                    Abel

I've seen a screenshot of little girl Ryu being hit in the face by a kunoi. So that suggests Ibuki, no!

Yep.  I think that's where the rumor came from.

Here a pic of Guy blocking a kunai.

The internet also claims that a kunai is shown during the SF4 Fei Long ending.  That's debatable, but interesting.

Handshakes

I'm a little miffed at having to buy the game over again for multiplayer modes that should of been in at launch...

But I'll still do it.

I liked the first game, but it needed more in it to do.

Time Attack, Suvival, Survival EX, Team and maybe a tacked on adventure mode and character customisation.

Super Street Fighter IV dated April 27

Having pulled some of its heaviest hitters out of the busy Q1 release calendar, Capcom is ready to reassign those titles to an entirely new part of the calendar, one that hasn't been getting nearly as much attention as its numeric predecessor: Q2. Monster Hunter Tri was already announced for April, but now Super Street Fighter IV will join it on April 27th in North America and April 30th in Europe. New characters, new combos, and the return of the smash-a-car bonus stage (see pic!) are highlights of the not-yet-priced though sure-to-be affordable followup.
