the webisodes that are available to download on your 360 are god awful as they have been dubbed with REALLY bad voice acting. Is there anywhere i can watch them with subtitles?

I refuse to watch anything that calls itself a "webisode".
Your mom!

The full length version thats out once the 360 episodes are done will be in original language with subs, I read that somewhere, they'll probably be on youtube too.

Dead Rising 2 EU release brought forward

The console versions of Capcom's zombie killer sequel Dead Rising 2 will be released across Europe on 24th September – a week earlier than planned.

The PC version, however, will be released a week later, on 28th September.

"Good news for all you Zombie fans across Europe and Australia – we're pleased to announce that the title will now launch on Friday 24th September for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with the PC version scheduled for 28th September," reads Capcom's European site.

Dead Rising 2 is being created by Canadian developer Blue Castle Games, but Capcom's Keiji Inafune is producing.

Frank West Takes A Trip To Fortune City For Dead Rising 2

A blurry "photo" that's appeared on Dead Rising 2's Tape It Or Die blog shows the game's protagonist Chuck Greene getting a little help from a journalist who has been known to cover wars.

While it's pretty difficult to tell from the screenshot, we're pretty sure that blurry guy busting heads with Chuck is none other than Frank West from the original Dead Rising. The pic showed up as part of a post on the viral Dead Rising 2 site Tape It Or Die, where survivor Johnny Pipes recounts seeing someone else fighting by Greene's side.

So, I go after him. But then I see some other dude. Vaguely recognized him. Maybe saw him at a party a few years back. Maybe a celebrity. Can't remember his name, though. Phil? Floyd? Regardless, he was fighting zombies, too. It was like Oktoberfest! But replace beer with zombies! And drinking with slaughter! It was like I'd died and gone to heaven.

That's Frank, buddy.

So where does Frank West fit into Dead Rising 2? Well we know of one place he'd fit quite nicely. Last we checked the cooperative multiplayer mode had both players playing as Chuck. Frankly I'd much rather play two different characters, wouldn't you?

Dead Rising 2 review - 8.75/10 in Famitsu
Chuck Greene gets a thumbs up in Japan

Japanese gaming bible Famitsu has published the world's first Dead Rising 2 review - and given the Capcom sequel 8.75/10.

Famitsu assigns four different reviewers to a game, each of which provide their individual score. Dead Rising 2 received three '9' scores and an '8' (8.75/10 overall).

Update: Turns out Gamereactor Denmark printed an exclusive review of Dead Rising 2 before Famitsu. Don't worry though, it also gave the game two decaying thumbs up with an 8/10 review score.

Dead Rising creator Keiji Inafune recently advised Japanese developers to follow Capcom's lead and partner with US developers. Dead Rising 2 is developed by Canadian studio Blue Castle.

The partnership seems to have paid off, the Blue Castle developed XBLA prequel Dead Rising: Case Zero broke Xbox Live records  and led to the announcement of second title called Case West..

Capcom has also announced it has acquired the Canadian co-creator of Dead Rising 2.

Dead Rising 2 will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on Friday, September 24, but eager beavers can head down to HMV and pick up the game at the launch event a day early.

That's the day my F1 game will be arriving in the post, can't wait! I bought case zero the other day but I haven't started it yet, there is no rush though as I'm not getting DR2 until Feb 2011 at the earliest.

Capcom denies alienating DR2 PS3 gamers

Capcom has denied it is "alienating" PS3-owning Dead Rising fans following the announcement of Xbox Live-exclusive downloadable game Dead Rising 2: Case West.

The Dead Rising 2 epilogue is designed to compliment Dead Rising 2 in the same way fellow Xbox Live exclusive Dead Rising 2: Case Zero did last month.

Following Case West's Tokyo Game Show reveal PS3 gamers complained that they were being denied the beginning and end of the upcoming zombie kill-em-up.

"I think Inafune [Keiji, head of global R&D] said that we're sorry that it seems like you're getting a little bit less of the Dead Rising 2 universe, but you'll still be able to enjoy the full game," insisted co-producer Shinsaku Ohara in an interview with Eurogamer.

"You'll just miss a little bit of extra. We haven't completely alienated PS3 gamers because Dead Rising 2 is a standalone boxed product."

Developer Blue Castle Games' Rob Barrett added that Dead Rising 2 is complete without Case Zero and Case West.

"The game was completely designed to be a self-contained and enjoyable experience, beginning to end, regardless of the prologue and the epilogue."

Ohara echoed comments made by Inafune in an recent interview with Eurogamer, when he explained the Xbox 360 exclusivity of Dead Rising 2's downloadable games.

"Dead Rising was our very first Xbox 360 title and Microsoft supported the title all the way," Ohara said.

"At the beginning we didn't know that this new IP would be a success, but the fans on the console really assisted in making it into one. So it's like a present, something that we gave back to the original Dead Rising fans."
