Mass Effect 2

New games smell lovely. Especially the Gran Turismo one I bought when I was pregnant many years ago. It smelt of burnt rubber. I used to be a bit freaky with it and sniff it for ten minutes before putting it the PS2.

Anyway smells aside I have put some stuff on the frontpage of the site that I found out about mining in Mass Effect 2. I don't know if it will be any help but it makes the homepage look pretty

i just finished up the main story and i thought it was great. they fixed the clunky fighting system and the powers dont take nearly as long to cool down as in the first game. it seems like they took just about everything that didnt work in the first game and made it better. i havent done too much planet exploration yet, so i cant comment too much on that.

The combat is awesome, way better than the first one, the cover system is so much better, a lot like Gears Of War. I think I've completed about about half of it, although much like Nightcrawler, I haven't done much planetary exploration. So far my only real complaint is the characters, they're not quite as appealing as the first one, they're a bit too "dark" for my liking but I think that's the point!

Argh pretty bummed with ME2 atm.
Got it this morning booted it up, import character "No Character Data Found"
Dunno why its being like that, ive completed ME 2 times with 2 different characters, and half-way thru a 3rd playthrough with my second character (its second playthrough)

I enjoying it and the story is not as powerful as the first one but I feel you can do you own thing this time.

I'm really enjoying it, but I do have a couple of gripes. The story does seem a bit weak, and all it seems to be centering on is collecting team members. What's the point of "collecting" 11 different squad mates (I've got 9 so far) if you can only take two members on a mission at any one time. They're all a bit too smilar, they're either soldiers or biotics. The actual gameplay is brilliant though  

It occurred to me that they could bring out a multiplayer add on to this, it would be cool to actually play as one of the other characters, not that they will of course.

Once I've finished it I'm going to play both games one after the other, I like how certain actions from the firts one affect outcomes in the second one. I suppose it's helped that I only got the firstone 2 weeks ago and have only played it through fully once.

I'll do a ME2 review at the weekend probably!!  Really tired from work.. have to walk like 4-5miles to get there each day!! and thats one way.. lol.. 4-5 miles back too! 

Great game though, completed it yesterday.  Got the dont let anyone die achivement too for the final mission.  Must have picked the right people!! lol.

I love the game,  and yes the story does seem abit "weak" only because the major bits blend into the rest of the game so well it feels like your doing one constant mission instead of many different ones.  Which most games avoid.  To be fair though its working well since side missions even give important plot points!

Weird question but has anyone found out where to buy "star charts" from?  One of the ingame tips states "Buy star charts to increase the amount of places in the galaxy you can goto" im like "WHERE!!!?" lol.

Has anyone see the amount of credit you get to use on second play though, I got about 200000.

The star charts I think you can get them on Illium by the taxi rank , were you activate the quest for Samara.

Does it actually add new sectors?

Yeah it adds new galaxy's to explore , just do not know if this is the only set available.

Just remember to stock up on fuel or lose minerals.
