are we expecting the official name to be announced at E3?

I think so. E3 Should tell us the true power of Natal and what ships with it.l

Rumours of around £50 but nothing confirmed yet.

I've no interest in the games side of it and probably never will, quite like the Minority Report style dashboard controls but i'm not paying money just for that, might pick it up after it fails miserably and is on sale at 75% off RRP, the week after release should do it.   ;D

Jaynestown

You're such a pessimist. Give it two weeks!  ;)

Thank god for the new Tomb Raider, helped me de-stress after a tough week! More of the same please

You could just hide in a closet shouting "I don't want to come out", thats a far better Tom Cruise impression.   ;D

Microsoft: Natal will 'jumpstart the 360'
Outgoing boss Robbie Bach describes Natal as a console alternative

Natal presents an opportunity to revitalise the Xbox 360 without having to put out a new console according to Microsoft's Robbie Bach.

The outgoing head of E&D said that he saw as Project Natal as a "midlife kicker" to the console.

He told Tech Flash, "If you think we have, what, close to 40 million consoles in the world, and every one of those consoles can work with Natal."

"So, there's a tremendous opportunity from a business perspective to produce a new experience for people without shipping a new console."

"For me it's a jumpstart catalyst," he continued. "It's a midlife kicker for the 360, and it's an opportunity to really drive that business in a dramatic way."

Both Microsoft's Project Natal and Sony's PlayStation Move are set to have a big impact on the games industry, with Ubisoft describing both devices as 'revolutionary' earlier this month.

Edge: Natal will cost £103
Reports on the price comes in via a trusted source for Edge.

Edge is reporting that Natal's price will be £103.

The motion-sensing technology would be bundled with Xbox 360 Arcade console for $299.

Although there are a number of factors that will determine the European price, it currently works out to be £103 for the standalone unit and £207 for the console bundle.

The worldwide date being targetted for launch is October 26th, although this could change by a few weeks on either side. The same source also says it definitely won't be launched with the Natal name.

The news comes from the same Edge source who correctly predicted a lot of the Gears of War 3 information that was later confirmed by Epic and Microsoft.

£103? ouch and also £102.99 too much  ;D
