The tech really is impressive. And, sadly, the titty tracker is probably the most fun game ever made for the kinect so far.

p.s. HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!

360 Launch Games

Amped 3
Call of Duty 2
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Every Party
FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup
Gun
Kameo: Elements of Power
Madden NFL 06
NBA 2K6
NBA Live 06
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
NHL 2K6
Perfect Dark Zero
Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie
Project Gotham Racing 3
Quake 4
Ridge Racer 6
Tetris: The Grandmaster ACE
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland

COD2, Condemned & PGR3 make it a very very good launch lineup for me, though those were the games I got at launch (along with Perfect Dark) so I would say that.   ;D

Four really good titles, same as kinect. Kinect Sports, Dance Central, Kinectimals, Your Shape - (getting good reviews everywhere), or if fitness games aren't for you then - Kinect Adventures. I am fine with people not wanting kinect because it's not for them, but to say it has no good launch titles and doesn't innovate over the wii as it say's in the article is just complete bullshit.

GamerMan316

I think people are moaning because theres no massive killer launch title but then there very rarely is a huge title at launch, as long as theres some good games with killer games to come people should be happy.

If I had any interest in Kinect at all then i'd probably be pretty happy with the launch games.

dfusioness

it was the same with the ds not much going for it when it came out crappy titles, now theres a mass of really good games, and not all of them for kids so atm the jurys out for kinect

Kinect helps triple Xbox 360 sales in Japan
But PSP is the big winner in the latest weekly hardware rankings

Xbox 360 sales almost tripled in Japan during the week ended November 21.

Kinect arrived in Japan on Saturday 20, just one day before the end of the weekly hardware tracking period, but helped lift sales from 2,686 units to 7,083, even though no games made the software top 20.

Earlier this week, a major Japanese electronics retailer said Kinect was "off to a pretty rough start" in the country, selling around "one-fourth" the units PS Move is managing.

PSP topped the weekly hardware sales chart with 96,601 units shifted, followed by PSP and Wii.

Hardware chart (previous week's sales):
PSP: 96,601 (40,328)
PS3: 29,058 (21,114)
Wii: 27,851 (39,308)
DSi LL: 21,836 (18,711)
DSi: 20,550 (13,994)
Xbox 360: 7,083 (2,686)
DS Lite: 1,904 (1,752)
PSP Go: 1,816 (2,727)
PS2: 1,255 (1,233)

China have a very strict law that prohibits the sale of video game equipment and accessories, Japan do not, basically.

Also your question should say, how come they can try and sell it in japan? seeing as the 360 is a massive failure over there.

true, very true, please accept my apologies-missed that one  :D  china is so messed up anyway, strict laws on video games, but you only have to look at the olympic games to see how fucked up a country they really are

Even social networking sites are banned over there, we should have the same laws on that too I think!   :D

Man uses Kinect for Predator cloak
He wasn't an alien after all - he was from the future

A man in Japan has hacked Kinect so that it cloaks him in a Predator-like invisibility shield - or at least it looks like it.

Japanese coder Takayuki Fukatsu has exploited the motion cam so that it tracks his movement, but turns his details into an almost perfect transparent effect.

What the tinkered sensor is actually doing is skinning his image with a picture of the background - but don't tell Arnie that, it'll ruin the surprise.

I'm struggling to see what's so good about this.  ;D
