never believe what you read on teletext. they gave a girls aloud album 9/10 once. And I would buy one even if they were £200.00. In fact i am pre ordering one no matter what the cost!! Kinect is not just a gaming peripheral, it's a way of life! YaYY for kinect!!!!
Dave is my hero ;)
Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

I'll own it eventually, just like I own (but never use) every other peripheral.

"When" I buy it is simply a matter of how much I want Kinect-only software.  So far, I haven't seen anything that makes me want it on release, but MS still has time to WOW me.   ;)

I just wanted that tiger to rip that little girl's head off, she was bloody annoying, but that's just me.   ;D

I thought Move looked better at E3 than Kinect, well the games at least did as they looked like actual next gen games instead of Wii rip offs, need to see some proper devs get to grips with Kinect and at the very least, a cat killing simulator, before I can become remotely interested.  ;D

The "Hype King" is back with more promises he won't deliver on.

E3 2010: Molyneux: Milo is '10 times more amazing' than 2009 demo
Kinect title is "robust" enough for single-player trials, reckons developer

We revealed earlier than Kinect title Milo & Kate still exists - and is being trialled behind closed doors this week. Now, creator Peter Molyneux has told CVG that the finished game is "10 times more amazing" than the demo which set the industry on fire at E3 2009.

Molyneux claimed that the title is playable "in its entirety" and "robust" enough for gamers to get their hands on it unassisted.

The game was notably lacking from Microsoft's E3 2010 conference. The firm focused on Kinect - but decided to omit Milo from its highlighted software line-up.

The 'boy sim' caused shockwaves at E3 2009 - with a filmed demo showing a Lionhead employee having an apparently unscripted conversation with the junior protagonist.

"I promise you it is now ten times more amazing than you'd expect it to be from what you saw at [E3 2009]," said Molyneux. "Because what I showed in Milo then was just a tech demo. I think every one asked: 'That was pretty fascinating, but what does it all mean?'

"It's only when you see it in its entirety and play it that you realise it's robust enough for people to play on their own."

We'd have loved to have played it here, but only celebs are getting that honour, it seems.

Must. Be. Patient.

Molyenux is in town to promote Fable III, which did get an impressive showing at MS's conference.

Kinect doesn't play well with couch potatoes

"Sitting is something we're still calibrating for"

I will not buy Kinect until it allows me to fully control non-game menus while sitting down.  Period.

I have no problem running around doing 'stuff' to play games like waving my hands like a idiot for star wars lightsaber fights.. but unfortunately my xbox is in the 'box room' of the house.. therefor no space.  If this kinect doesnt cater for people who cant move around then its useless!

Honour, Respect, Loyalty.

Rare: Kinect lag "not an issue"

Is lag a problem for Kinect? Not according to Rare, the studio tasked with producing one of its flagship launch titles, Kinect Sports.

Speaking to Eurogamer in LA this week, Nick Burton, exec producer of technology and communications for the Britsoft veteran, claimed earlier problems had been overcome. "Lag is not an issue," he said. "As with any prototype stuff, of course it was in the past. That's to be expected.

"Where we're at now, not at all. Yes, we've done a lot work to make sure it wasn't a problem, but when you've got something that's copying what you're doing you can't have a lot of lag."

Burton said lag for Kinetic Sports is set at 150ms which, as Digital Foundry smarty-pants Richard Leadbetter pointed out, does not include TV lag.

Lag is more evident in some titles than others at E3 this week and, since some degree of it is unavoidable, the onus will be on developers to work around it to ensure acceptable response times.

Meanwhile, the studio was also keen to dispel the belief - amplified by the recent rebranding - it was now focusing exclusively on casual games.

"It's been the focus for the past couple of years, but we're going to do all kinds of stuff," Burton said. "Obviously the rebrand for us was more about we wanted to freshen up the image - it was just time for a chance. We've done it before, we'll probably do it again.

"We are continually looking at what the next thing's going to be. It might be casual, it might be core, we've had such an eclectic mix over the years and we'll continue to do that."

He added: "It's not always going to be as casual as [Kinect Sports]; this is just something we got really excited about."

Burton refused, however, to be drawn on the studio's other projects, stating: "This is the only Rare game you're seeing at the moment."

While Kinect Sports can be seen as filling the 'Wii Sports' role in the initial Kinect line-up, Burton said the experience on offer is far more advanced.

"There's so much more data, so much more fidelity, so many more things you can do," he said. "Kinect's not just about tracking - there's voice recognition, identity, so many things. It's more than the sum of its parts. I've been involved for a couple of years and even now we're like, "Wow, there's all these things we could do!"

It does all that but still can't let you chill out and play it sat down, awesome!   ;D

E3 2010: MS 'f***ed up' with E3 conference - Eden producer
Platform holder should've shown off Child of Eden, says producer

Microsoft "f***ed up big time" not showing one of the few 'core' Kinect games, Child of Eden at its E3 press conference, the game's producer has said.

Speaking to journo Stephen Webster at E3, producer James Mielke said Microsoft had the opportunity to showcase the Tetsuya Mizuguchi game at its press conference, but opted for Wii-like 'casual' games instead.

"Yeah, Microsoft fucked up big time," he said. "They had a chance to feature it for Kinect but decided to focus on family-friendly games like what's on Wii.

"They weren't expecting everyone to react so negatively," he added. "After we showed off our game at UbiSoft, the Microsoft people came to our booth like, 'Oh, oh wow.'"

During the show, adds Mielke, even Shigeru Miyamoto visited the Child of Eden stand for a demonstration from creator, Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

According to Mielke, the legendary Zelda and Mario creator called Eden "game of the show." We're bloody excited, for a start. It's REZ TWO.

See it in action via the Child of Eden trailer.

Failed

Burger King Returns To The 360, This Time For Kinect

While exact details on the style or number of games aren't being disclosed until later in the year, Burger King's chief marketing officer Mike Kappitt says, "Our first endeavor with Xbox 360 took the gaming world by storm, so we couldn't pass up the chance to come together on another cutting-edge program."

"During this year's promotion, our guests can look forward to an even greater adventure that will stimulate the imaginations of gamers and entertainment-lovers of all shapes and sizes."
