Thought it would be cool to see which Developers people respect and which Publishers do a good job in NOT screwing up games with hasty release dates!

Mines

Publisher : - Take Two Software

Developer : - Bioware

I always liked Rare, at least until Microsoft bought them, since then the quality of their work has dropped significantly.

There are quite a few that i could mention but i'll stick with Ubisoft, Konami and Capcom, they all fall under both, also

Developer - Valve and Epic Games (despite how cool it is for people to hate them)

Publisher - Take Two, Square Enix & Microsoft

I really did like valve until L4D2's release date was announced.. I mean.. if they spent 2years.. and made 10 campaigns.. id feel like I had value for money.. like ALL other valve games.. but one year later and 5 campaigns (4hrs of unique gameplay) kinda sucks for such a awesome company.

They could have done better.. Maybe they will make a Dead box and put 5 L4D's in one box after 5years of the first being out!

Infinity Ward are pretty good i guess  :)

Maibs

+ 1 Square Enix
+ 1 Bioware

Also EA have improved alot over the last couple of years, when i see a EA game now i rarely look at it as just another sucky money maker, theres still sum but they are also producing alot of gems atm.

In relation to sports games its a welcome upgrade with new players in each team and stuff, really.. its like Upgrading your PC each month.. haha!

Way I look at it.. is if your a footy fan you want your uptodate game! and if you wait 2 years for it.. then your Man United team will be 2years in the past.. :O

The problem is now with the advancement of DLC theres no excuse for sports titles not being uptodate, rosters can be updated in a matter of seconds, transfers likewise.

Too much content really,  theres like 10,000 players. All needing to be in the right team,  1000's of club kits.

Plus only so long before you start killing yourself slowly due to listening to the same dialog in game!

Sports genre in my opinion is the only genre that requires a yearly release.

If you think about it many games get yearly releases that DONT need it.. such as CallOfDuty, L4D, NFS, Burnout.  Just people pick on Fifa!

Not really look at football manager on the PC there is regular updates that keeps the whole game uptodate with all real life changes.

I agree that fifa is a yearly update title the difference between the yearly releases dont look like much to people unfamilar with fifa, but to me the difference between 09 and 10 is massive
100's of improvements and the visuals are just a bonus.

Counting down to fifa 11 already, its the only game i would happily queue at midnight release for, and it will be my first pre-order for next year.

i haven't played FIFA 10 yet, got bored of 09 very quickly, i always lose interest in football games quickly, maybe because none of them for me can match the old pro evo games on the PS1/2, i'd rather play them now than any 360 football game, but thats just me  :)

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.
