Halo: Reach Legendary Edition is huge

The first pictures of the Halo: Reach Legendary Edition have been revealed.

Bungie tweeted the pictures, which were picked up by HotBloodedGaming, that show the mamooth size of the Legendary Edition for Reach.

The reason for the size is it contains a "Noble Team statue" along with the same contents as the Limited Edition bundle, plus an exclusive 'multiplayer Spartan armor effect'. Who's got their eyes on the Legendary Edition, then?

I have a Spartan helmet collecting dust in my closet, serving as a reminder to never buy 'Level 3' tiered editions of anything.  I'll be buying the Limited Edition of Halo: Reach, not the Legendary Edition.

I'm only buying the stand alone game, I never get any use out of the additional content unless it's ingame content

I have the Halo 2 Limited Edition. It has a great little book inside with Transmissions from Space, has some great little bits about Reach in there too.

Bungie Weekly Update: Reach's hologram, armor and Avatar unlocks



The most recent Bungie update is a doozy. There's over 5000 words of Halo: Reach  goodness in there, so allow us to distill the important bits. First of all, that nifty hologram ability from the Bungie Day video two weeks back? Totally real and available as an armor ability in Reach.

Second, Bungie has dropped a somewhat massive image -- check it out in the gallery below -- showing off exactly which items players will see in the Halo: Reach Armory on day one. Any Halo fan is bound to notice that Cortana shows up at the bottom of the image, alongside Sgt. Johnson, Master Chief and Sgt. Buck (AKA Nathan Fillion). Will these be playable characters? Voices for Firefight? We've contacted Bungie to see if we can find out. [Update: Bungie's Brian Jarrard responded to our query saying, "The answers you seek can be found within the Bungie.net weekly update – the armory inventory image wasn't the only picture in the body of the story." Jarrard may be referring to this image, which includes many of the previously unknown categories of armor customization. We're pretty sure there aren't Cortana themed knee guards, making a Firefight voice a more likely possibility.]

Finally, Halo: Reach Avatar Awards have been revealed, comprised of the helmets worn by Noble Team. These will be unlocked by completing certain actions within the game.

was gonna give this game a miss as i didn't care that much for halo 3 (single player was too drawn out, and i suck at the multiplayer - shocker) but i really want those helmets!!

Just watched the new ViDoc about Forge World .... and AMG! i'm super hot for it.

The amount of stuff you can do for it, this'll definately tie me over til Gears 3. Cannot wait!
