Arkham Asylum is less than two months from being released and is looking pretty damn good, Gamespy have a 360 Preview from a couple of weeks ago so again this may have been posted on the old site, also the achievements have now been unveiled.

Batman will have 'second chances' to ensure he doesn't die in Arkham Asylum, according to MTV Multiplayer.
If you take a wrong step while leaping around the higher reaches of Arkham Asylum, the game will slow down while you're falling to your doom and prompt you to hit a button so you can grapple back onto the ledge.

It sounds very Prince of Persia, where a wonky leap would see Elika save you and essentially 'reset' the situation. You can still die at the hands of the Arkham Asylum inmates but it seems the leaping about has been padded out with safety nets so you don't die.

It caused controversy with Prince of Persia so we'll have to see if it does the same with Batman: Arkham Asylum. Do these 'anti-death' measures rob the game of its challenge or prevent frustration from kicking in?

Failed

Maybe the platformy bits are a tad more brutal. Jumping about in the dark is a sure way to break a leg.

The only thing that bothered me about Elika saving you was the stupid cut scene everytime!!!

For the hardcare Batman fanatics, it would probably cause more controvery to let batman die from 'clumsiness'.  Batman does not make mistakes.

He's emmineffin Batman!

Failed

I'd say the 3rd and 4th Batman films were a mistake ..... silly Batman with your huge nipples.

IGN have a new video (which is good) and overview piece of the villians (which is a bit basic and sh*t)

Some Villain Art released by Eidos and Warner Bros

Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

Poison Ivy was one of my favorite characters in the old Bruce Timm Batman The Animated Series.

And even though a lot of the same production team is involved with the game, they'll probably make Poison Ivy more of a defined villian instead of the delusional anti-hero she was in the series.

mmmmm Poison Ivy
So true Failed. P
Poison Ivy and Catwoman=HOT HOT HOT

I like that they have gone with the more traditional Joker as well if honest. The newer version was a royal pain in the ass and rubbish in my mind.
The animated series one (oddly voice by Luke Skywalker I think) was good all the same but a little too clean cut in my mind.
