MW2 Connection Speeds?

When I go lookng for games in MW2 it says "looking for games with 50ms ping" or something

Now is that fast or slow?

Ok I am crap at the game but sometimes when watching the kill cam I wonder how the hell they killed me when I was out of site ~sigh~

Must admit I don't most of the time.

But last night it took ages to find and get a game going plus I dropped out of least 2 cause the lag was really bad.

I only play it on Fridays & have always found matches pretty quickly, only dropped out of one so far i think

I've had the host change 2 or 3 times and it only lags just before that happens. It's been pretty good so far.

I think 50ms is average and 35 is crap and 65 good?? Maybe, i am guessing of knowledge i think i know (?), but i could just be making it up to sound smart

Lower the better, 50 is average -50 is good, 50+ is bad anything over 100 and you will have lag.
COD searches for all servers with an average 50 ping when you actually join a server the ping will be different. high or low its why sometimes they get lag.

Not 100% sure but on cod 6 i think hosts are choosen based on there connection speed, if it drops below a certain point then the game stops and a new host is choosen.
Used to see it alot in older games, on the greatest xbox live game ever (RB6 BA) quite a few hosts used to do it often.
