4 and a half hours for 5G!!!

Last night I spent about 4 and a half hours trying to get the drift achievement on Forza 3, all for a measly 5 G's. And the annoying thing is I didn't even get it!!!

wow i thought it didn't look that hard, you talking about the 100k in a race achievement?

That's the one 5G for 100K drift points in a race. The best I got up to last night was 95,280!!! The course I was trying it on was 10 miles long and very windy, but it's quite narrow in places which makes it hard to get long drifts. The longest drift I got at any one point was about 6k!!!

To say I was pissed off last night when I went to bed was an understatement, couldn't believe I'd wasted the whole evening trying to get 5 sodding points and then not actually getting it!!!

Are you trying it on Nurburging or Fujima Kaido?

Fujima Kaido, the back half of the race isn't too bad, I can get about 55k on the way down the hill but only about 35k on the way up because it's too narrow. I was talking to Dark last night about it, he did it on his second attempt, it's probably just me being crap!!!

maybe? Have you tried Nurburgring though, it's 13 miles long, pretty narrow but it's good to have a change of pace!

Most people suggest Fujima Kaido and turn off all assists, just break early blah blah!

tbh, if you got 90K, you just need to try harder

I tried, and tried, and tried, and tried last night and just got totally naffed off with it. I think I'm going to have a break from it, maybe if I get close to the 1,000 pts I'll give it another go but I think for now I'm going to forget about it. But thanks for the words of encouragement!!!

I got that achievement , just need to complete year 6 and solid gold then I be done.

There should be a tune on forza 3 marketplace, which i used and try turning off all assists and stick the car into manual.
